Both of these anime have very short episodes and are about a 'normal' individual who has to live with an obsessed individual (one is obsessed with their sibling, the other is an otaku). The episodes follow their day to day live as they learn about the other individual and their habits. They are both fairly slow, comedy driven, and have a similar type of humor.

ChalamiuS ChalamiuS says...

Both of these series are about couples and their lives together, however, one person in each couple has their uh... quirk.

I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying is as expected about a married couple (Hajime and Kaoru), while Onee-chan ga Kita is about Tomoya and his new sister Ichika that seems to like him a bit too much.

These are two shows that focus on relationships, mainly of the romantic variety. They both look into the daily lives of their respective characters.

Honobono Log is a compilation of several families whereas I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying (both series) has one married couple as the focus.

ChalamiuS ChalamiuS says...

Both of these show give us some slices of various couples lives. Honobono Log focuses on a whole bunch of relationships while I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying focuses on only one.

Nicknames Nicknames says...

Like I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying, Insufficient Direction is a show with very short episodes who follows a couple of an otaku guy and a 'normal' woman, and how she tries to deal with their husband's hobby in the best way possible. The animation style might be different and Insufficient Direction is sillier than I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying, but you'll still enjoy it if you liked I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying.

At first glance Yukishiro Nanako seems like a normal high school girl, but she has a notable eccentricity: instead of speaking, she communicates only through written senryu poetry! This means she expresses herself only in 5-7-5 syllables. To most this might seem like an inconvenience, but for Nanako and her ex-delinquent bestie, Busujima Eiji, it adds to the experience of their high school lives as they run the Literature Club.
