Another season, another generic harem anime with the protagonist having some sort of special power. If you have seen World Break, Absolute Duo, Asterisk War, or Infinite Stratos you will have an idea of how this will be. For those of you that have not, I would recomend that you watch the first episode of each anime listed above and decide if you want to sit through this.

I would only recomend following this anime if you have nothing better to do.

I hate animes that make male characters look and act like women. I also hate when the main character is some flimsy, shaky, stuttering weird person who can't can't express his thoughts normally. This type of anime is usually reserved to be seen and made for young boys, but this story line is so played out that it's painful to watch when it's done poorly. If you have absolutely nothing else to do with your life go ahead and watch this but if the first episode is any indication of how the rest of the season will be I'll stop here.

Soooo, another narcisistic chic established and proficient in her prospective skills and lame mc new to the academy, no varience in skills, nothing stellar really but another possession type of trump card, along with a sword in a world where others spam massive attacks like lasers ect.  Right, we haven't seen any of that before.  But you know what?  I may be able to stomache the premise given my interest in manga/anime, but gonna have to drop this one.  There's just not enough 'botany' in the world to make this nonsense bearable.  I may even have to question my very reasoning for enjoying anime in any capacity after 'trying to watch' this anime.  And you know what it scares me.

I'll enter this qualifier though, I only could make it through the 3rd episode, so you can take this review with a grain of salt, well if this is your first anime at least.  I wish I could give you a concrete reason why this anime drained a 3rd of my life force, but this anime seems to shove in my face all the decrepit practices used in anime in spurts to draw in viewers and make me PUKE.  Always leaving me with the same questions; Besides masochists, what guy would mirror this guys reactions?  What was his name again?  I wonder can I skip this episode and stay in the loop?  Why is this guy even talking to her?  Are you serious?

...I just don't know anymore...forget it, screw everything, think I'll take Forest Whitakers advice on Street Kings when attempting to denigrate Hugh Laurie, time to find a buck shot.  =)

I don't know what you are all talking about this is a very well done Anime. You need to keep in mind that it has only just begun and the story will pick up as it goes on. But it won't get that chance if we hammer it like we are if their is to be a second season we need to show all the suppot we can to make sure that happens. I mean look at Naruto, how sick are you of the filler arcs? but it is still one of the most beloved animes of our time and also factor in one piece. The idea of the show is to try and install steadfast ideals into the general public, ideals people have forgotton over the years (Self sacrifice, Honor, and the honest drive to change the world for the better) so please re-think your stances and lets all hope for a second season this winter. Arigatō, mata ne :)

NOTE: This anime contains SPOILERS!

STORY (7/10): The story of the anime was good. It was interesting to see how some of the main characters were in the beginning & how they evolved over the years prior to the series. There's a lot of scenes with backstories (so it's not difficult to follow). Plus, there are some moments where the cliff hangers that constantly keeps us on our toes. Don't forget guys -- I promise you that there is fan service ^_^. I also enjoy the explanation & how unique the crystals of hundred can be. Each crystal possesses various powers for the slayers to use during their battle.

CHARACTERS (8/10): ALL OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS ARE SLAYERS!

Hayato Kisaragi is one of the new students in the Little Garden. He gets into weird situation with other girls & at dangerous times, Hayato can turn into a variant.
Karen Kisaragi is the sister of Hayato & has close relationship with him. She is kind & soft-spoken, currently in a wheelchair, & her hundred enables her to walk normally.
Emile Crossford is Hayato's love interest. They knew each other in the past.. She gets kind of jealous & angry when it comes to Hayato & other girls.
Claire Harvey is one of popular & strongest slayers. She has a small, hidden crush on Hayato & has a dysfunctional family with a complicated past.
Sakura Kirishima is a popular idol, has a crush on Hayato, & also gets kind of jealous & angry when it comes to Hayato. Her reputation has inspires her fans to follow their dreams.

OVERALL ENJOYMENT (7/10): For those who have known me by watching the previous episodes of Average Anime Reviews -- I am a fan of slice of life. But after watching Hundred... I enjoy the anime that has brought the comedic moments, fan service & epic action-fighting scenes against the villains. If I were to compare it to another anime -- it would be Attack On Titan. Both animes share similar aspects of action-adventures where the main characters has to battle against the monsters that threaten humanity. For Hundred, it is the safe haven for students to feel safe for any incoming threats of savages.
