Human Lost - Reviews

It is hard to tell for about half of the movie, but in the end, the story lacks satisfaction. It had a lot of potential to be a great movie.

A short review for those curious about this movie, seeing as how there are no reviews yet. This is a quick summary review by an older anime fan who does not read manga/comics. I watched this film on Crunchyroll having no knowledge of the source material. This is a 1 hr 50 min movie that is based on the 1948 novel No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai (second best selling novel ever in Japan). This film combines animation and CG animation (heavy on the CG). I'm normally not a fan of mixing the two but it works here. I watched the English dub, which was alright for the most part. Good voice talent but some of the English lines were a bit cheesy. There's action, explosions, monsters, there's violence but gore isn't over the top (imo) and no romance. Animation quality is top notch, which helps to blend the cgi. Overall, worth a watch with themes relevant to the world today.
