Both are wacky shows who feature a girl who vows for the affection of their crush and said crush either doesn't get the hint or is just sick and tired of them. If you liked one of them and crazy comedies are your thing give the other a go!

YuiYui YuiYui says...

Both shows are random comedy shorts, that have no real story but will give you a decent laugh. These shows are both full of colourful animation and quirky characters.  If you're looking for two fun shorter series that you don't need to take series and you enjoyed one of these then you might want to try out the other.

KarmaKhameleon KarmaKhameleon says...

These two anime are quirky, offbeat shorts that feature a girl trying to confess to their crush. Both anime feature zany characters and lively animation that will have you giggling like a school girl. They are both fun and light hearted. I feel like some shorts dont give the series enough time to develop, but both of these are complete and wont leave you feeling like something is missing.

Similar crude/inappropriate humor. Both of the leads are batty females that even look similar and both are trying to win over a guy character who doesn't show much interest.

Croxylin Croxylin says...

Absolutely a fun anime to watch for both romance and comedy, just watch it alone for there are some flashy seems that randomly pop up

Both series have 12 minute episodes, with 12 episodes total. Both series have a male and female lead, where the female lead starts a bunch of the episodes weird premises due to her hobbies.

Both series also have ecchi elements, that are often associated with the comedy.

Clumsy girls who end in unfournate situations. Characters are in a club, that is some how both really good, and extremely awful at what their club is about.

AardvarkRex AardvarkRex says...

Both are ecchi comedies centered on a female protag showcasing her inventions/magical tricks to a male character which always lead to some kind of disaster putting her in compromising/embarrassing situations. The male character in the meantime remains largely unimpressed with her antics. Miss Ueno is cruder.

Asobi Asobase

Asobi Asobase

Olivia is a blonde-haired beauty who was born and raised in Japan, but can’t speak any English. Despite always acting serious and as an intellectual, Kasumi is a bespectacled girl with short hair, who also can’t speak English. Finally, there’s the pig-tailed Hanako, who’s cheerful but can’t seem to become a normie. The three middle schoolers end up making a “Players’ Club”?! The ultimately cute, ultimately fun and hilarious teenage girls’ comedy is about to begin!

Both are wacky comedies featuring high-schoolers doing crazy stuff, be it by trying some inventions or just to kill time. Also both shows seem to appeal to the same audience, even though Ueno-san wa Bukiyou is a bit more romance-oriented. So if you liked one give the other a try!

YuiYui YuiYui says...

How Clumsy you are, Miss Ueno and Asobi Asobase are two anime that focus very heavily on short gag comedy, they can be a hit or miss in some places but they do follow a very similar style. Where Ueno is about a science club Asobi is about a pasttimers club and their club activities, which fuel the comedy.  Either way, both are very similar in comedy style and setting, so if you enjoyed one you'll most likely enjoy the other.

This Art Club Has a Problem!

This Art Club Has a Problem!

An ordinary arts club at an ordinary middle school, Tsukimori Middle School. One member, Uchimaki Subaru, wastes his abundant talent trying to draw his perfect 2D waifu. Another, Usami Mizuki, can't stop thinking about the loser that is Uchimaki-kun. Then there is the club president, who, despite being asleep all the time, seems to care for the two, and another vague, sketchy member, Colette. Today, yet again, in this art club full of mild disappointments, a problem arises.

In both of these shows we have an assertive female protagonist that is constantly trying to get the affection of a naive male protagonist. Both of these shows also have a comedic nature and have the same school setting. Ueno does have a much more aggressive way of showing her feelings than Mizuki does.

My Mental Choices are Completely Interfering with my School Romantic Comedy

My Mental Choices are Completely Interfering with my School Romantic Comedy

Good-looking Kanade Amakusa would prefer nothing more than to have a normal high school life. But due to his "Absolute Choice", a mental curse compelling him to decide between two outrageous options such as sniffing a smutty magazine on the ground versus eating it in public, everyone thinks he’s a total weirdo! One day, the boy chooses that a beautiful girl will fall from the sky, and much to his surprise, his choice becomes reality! Her name is Chocolat, and she’s come with a message: God will strike a deal with Kanade in the form of missions that might just cure his suffering. Sounds trouble-free enough compared to what he’s already gone through - except they’re on a whole other level of extreme craziness than the choices he already makes daily! Can Kanade successfully clear these outrageous challenges, or will he be forever rejected by his classmates and remain an outcast?!

“I have no interest in real girls!” So claims Okumura, the president of the school’s manga club. He’s your typical otaku, obsessed with a sexy (fictional) 2D manga character known as Lilliel. Then the new school year starts, and a (real!) 3D girl named Lilysa whose passion is cosplay joins the club. Lilysa convinces Okumura to become her photographer–and guess who her favorite manga character is? Not only that, but Lilysa is into modeling the fetishy stuff!
