To the Future
Story begins quite decently. Drunk accidentaly wanders off to the graveyard where he witnesses someone digging up a corpse and then misteriously making all graves fall like dominos. Then we meet MC who's grandfather was on that graveyard as he learns from a policeman that his remains were stolen and that his unknown sister was here before him.He goes to the ruined cemetery only to find out that someone is digging the graves again. He tried to get the evidence of the gravedigger but was found. He ran like hell but the mysterious girl cought up to him and smacked him with the shovel. As he regained his conciousness, it looked like he was getting buried alive by someone who looked like his sister the policeman spoke of...This sounds amazing as a horror story you tell near campfires with your high friends. Then suddenly zombies happen, MC gets thrown into a grave she dug up for him, gets his jacket dirty from the dirt she starts to put on him. Then proceeds to show absolutley no interest of not getting buried alive by just sitting in the hole and screaming for help instead of actually trying to get out of the hole as the shovel's capacity is not big enough to make him immobile after few shoves. After screaming for help, he makes few facial expressions you only see in comedies acting like something is funny, then more zombies come up and grill starts cutting them in half with a cleaver which lenght is roughly the size of torsos she is cutting through. Grill decides to let MC deal with remaining zombies. Then some lightning happens.Just...... no.
The description and zombie tag is misleading. It would have been cool if it was about fighting zombies with magical kung fu... but it's not. One person has the power to revive corpses, but you don't see them long. It's about various groups of people with supernatural power. They try to make the descendant of a powerful person join them... most often by force. But the fights aren't very interesting. The main character is a loser, but probably on purpose because it's fun to watch him suffer. I hate that he's a virgin desperate to stick it in any women. But there's no shame about not having herpes and aids yet. The idea to fuck anything as a rite of passage is ridiculous. A vagina isn't a gateway between childhood and manhood! It creates birth. If you're not ready for the responsibility of making a baby, having sex is irresponsible, and doing that can't possibly make you a proper adult! What are you going to do? Quit school and your dreams, to work in a fast food, to afford diapers and clean shit for years, just because you wanted a few second of over rated sexual pleasure? You could destroy 3 people's lives by obsessing about the unknown when you're not even ready for it, without even knowing a safe partner in a relationship with at least a minimum of trust. It's disgusting. No one would want to be used as some hole to stick it in, so you can boost your own pathetic ego, while she'd be bored the whole time by your utter lack of skill and consideration. I'm kinda grateful to the anime for telling those boys how stupid and annoying they are, but I hate that guy, I just want to kick him in the crotch. The creepy girl tried to solve his problem in the most logical way, and it was so funny. There is no comedy tag, but if you consider it a parody of itself it becomes enjoyable. What really interested me about it is the creepy girl. She's really refreshing, the complete opposite of the usual woman stereotype, her cold comments about high heels were hilarious. I don't want to spoil stuff, but I really love watching her cool attitude. She made the anime worth watching. She reminds me of Hell Girl a little. The slut isn't some helpless and soulless fan service for pedophiles. She's an adult and uses her sex appeal as a weapon to do mind control. She's pretty cool actually. I hope that there will be a season two because I want to know the creepy girl's secret past. She's the true main character. Well, everything is average but not all animes can be masterpieces, so lower your expectations and you'll have fun.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer of Anime So far I have only watched the first episode. It did all the fundamentals of establishing the world and main characters. But nothing more than that. “Hitori no Shita The Outcast” selling point is in its style. The murky dark ridiculous stupid fun style. The cast are all unintelligent and the atrocious dialogue reflects this. There is something very addictive about watching Morons fight over ancient mystical nonsense like “Big Trouble in Little China”. My instincts say this going to be plenty of farcical fun. It has been placed on my Stalled list for when some time becomes available.
