If you're looking for anime similar to Hellsing Ultimate, you might like these titles.
Dante works as a demon hunter for the office of Devil May Cry, and as he is always in debt he doesn't have the luxury to turn down jobs as long as they pay well. His latest assignment is to be a bodyguard for the young Patty Lowe while she receives her inheritance. During the mission he was able to defeat the demons that got in his way and deliver Patty safely, but upon completion of the mission Dante discovers that Patty will be staying with him – indefinitely! Now, Dante must not only hunt demons and coexist peacefully with other hunters, but also handle the responsibility of taking care of a little girl!
Both DMC and Hellsing are quite dark and have light elements of humor and their fair share of gore. Each is based around a similar background, as well.
Both anime are about devils. Hellsing talks about lord Alucard, a vampire that works for the hellsing company and that kills other vampires. Devil may Cry talks about Dante, son of the demon Sparda, the most powerful and the best swordman in all the demon world. He has an agency that accomplishes all types of missioons that are concerning devils. His agency is called:"Devil May Cry".
Although a short series, it is not to be missed, the storyline was interestin and the ending was a big supprise. Also Dante reminds me a bit of Alucard, red coat, duel handguns ( cant remember if he actually uses them ), and is nto completely human.
These animes based totally of freakish violence.
Devil May Cry display many gruesome ways to kill and doing it in style. :D
Hellsing OVA is Hellsings superior counterpart that gives a new meaning to the word "gore", "invincibility", and "monstrosity"
Either in Hellsing OVA and DMC, you will see incredibly powerful main character, who is also very charismatic. However, Dante is more human-like than Alucard, certainly. Both of the series have dynamic fights, catching story and mysterious vampires/demons.
Hellsing and DMC are quite alike they both feature violent scenes and demons and both extremley bad ass characters and humorus events. So if you like one of them you'll definetely like the other. ^^
hellsing and devil may cry both has guns (and other weapons) monsters (devils and vampires, ghouls) both main characters are sexy as fuck and have a "little helper", Alucard has Seras and Dante has Patty
Dante is like Alucard not human (at least half), he is a demon fighting against other demons
He and Alucard are both very strong characters and they have similarities, their clothing is similar and even how they reload their gun by using their mouth. Both shows just have the same feeling.
Devil May Cry is a good anime but unfortunally short, so the final boss battle is quickly over.
Both are full of violence and slightly to watch. Great music. In DMC there's no master-servant thread.
a very dark and gritty anime on both angles. with plenty of action and conflits the main character has to get through in order to carry the plot along.
They both have a similar style in its art and directing approach. Crazy action with enough gore to be satisfying, without being overly gross (I'm not a fan of too much gore so it's definitely not bad. Then again after you've watched Elfen Lied while eating lunch AND keeping it down, let's just say I don't have a week stomach but definitely recommend to all action fans alike). Whether or not you like Hellsing, definitely try Black Lagoon as well. Incredible show and awesome soundtrack.
Both are dark action-packed shows which features vampires, demons, and similar beast. Of course this includes the protagonist of each show, which is either a half-demon (DMC) or a full-blown vampire (Hellsing Ultimate). Said protagonists happen to be a tad too overpowered, so expect a lot of one-sided fights.
Another thing in common is how the plot is not precisely deep in both shows, so if you liked one and you're looking for another mindless action show with plenty of asskicking go ahead and check the other. You'll enjoy it.
Both Dante (Devil May Cry) and Alucard (Hellsing Ultimate) use big guns, are almost immortal, have big range of super abilities, spill lot of blood, do not have problem with killing everyone in their way... While Dante might be more emotional as he protects a little girl, Alucard as well has a female side-kick by his side, a girl he saved by turning her into a vampire. Both shows have strong female characters and both include monsters: Demons and Vampires. There is a nice amount of comedy in both shows.
Demons and vampires!! And when we talk vampires it's not sparkling gay bullshit from twilight. It's a proper brutal vampire with sick sense of humor and creativity to destroy his enemies with bloodiest way possible while cracking a big smile as carnage goes on.
Dante is also one of the most stylish demon hunters Iv'e seen, but ani8me represents him a bit worse than in games. Yet if you liked games you should watch anime just because.
if you're looking for gore, monsters, vampires, demons and other go bump in the night creatures, then, by all means check these two out. after all, both lead characters are said monsters who go bump in the night. not to mention the hunting of their own kind because someone else is fitting the bill for their simple living style. watch for the strawberry sundae, stay for the gun/sword play.
Very similiar anime and I like them both.
I like vampires and Hellsing is about vampires.
I like demons and Devil may cry is about demons.
I think is easy.
Toyohisa Shimazu is a fierce samurai who, in the aftermath of a fight with the Tokugawa regiment, suddenly finds himself in a strange corridor far from the bloodied grasslands of the battlefield. Before he can ask any questions, the shocked fighter finds himself sucked through a door in the wall and promptly lands in an unfamiliar place populated by kindly elves. There he meets with two infamous warriors, Oda Nobunaga and Nasu no Yoichi, who have met the same fate as him. However, not all is well in this new world as the brutal Black King aims to destroy everything. Now, with a battle raging between the fiercest warriors from throughout history, could this trio of Japanese Samurai be the only ray of hope in a land threatened by darkness?
While the plot of each show is as different as night and day, both are action-packed shows with copious amount of blood and violence. They also share the same artstyle and comedic bits inbetween the fights, so if you liked one then you'll definitely enjoy the other.
The main reason I recommend these two is the artist behind them. You can't watch one and not see the other. And while their plots are different, the comedy/drama pairing is nearly identical. If you liked the action, the bloodshed, the general mayhem of one, go check out the other. You're sure to have a blast.
Amazing animation, super cool characters, and a spaghetti brains story... just like Hellsing Ultimate.
The art style is extremely similar which is in no way a negative. Folks killing folks for the sake of killing.
If you liked one of these anime, you'll like both.
Blood flying everywhere, constant fighting and similar dark art style make these a good pairing for fans of this genre. Oh and the girls have big tits, if thats your thing. (we all know it is)
I really loved Hellsing. Alucard and Integra has such a strong presence that I didn't notice how bad the story wass before the manga was completed. And then came Hellsing ultimate and I wept in awe at this this genius idea, it used quantum physic, which was even more epic than time travel.
I knew that Drifters couldn't be as good... but... I never expected it to be this bad.
The drawings are great, but too complex to be animated fluidly. Shaking the camera made me feel sick, I stalled several times.
The characters aren't badasses, just assholes arguing for nothing. The transvestite is an insult to anyone in the grey zone between genders, really intlerable and disgusting to look at. If you don't know how to apply make up without looking like a chap whore, don't use any. If you want to anyway, don't call yourself a princess. The only woman isn't strong like Integra, she's threated like a sex doll and her big tits are assaulted against her will constantly, trivializing abuse and dismissing women's free will... I like strong willed characters... there was none.
The made up language is irritating enough to drop the anime for that alone.
The tactics are shit, literally...
The plot is basically just a game of chess between gods, it's dull and not engaging, there's nothing at stake, I don't care about any characters.
Not enough violence, blood and gore... considering that it's the only thing that it has to offer...
This is so bad... how did Hellsing creators do something so lame... I'm no longer a fan.
I guess you have to try it if you liked Hellsing Ultimate... but the previous fame wasn't enough for me to give it a high score.
well since they are from the same creator, then yes, one should venture into watching these two. granted one does not contain vampires, drifters, but there are "monsters" in drifters all the same, once human, turned monster by their own human nature. it's an interesting take of time travel in a way, so, if you're interested in seeing a lot of violence, gore and that trademark comedy found in hellsing, check these two out.
The main reason I recommend these two is the artist behind them. You can't watch one and not see the other. And while their plots are different, the comedy/drama pairing is nearly identical. If you liked the action, the bloodshed, the general mayhem of one, go check out the other.
If you like one, then you will most likely like the other. Both are done by the same artist. Lots of action, blood and violence.
It has the same art style and the story is smilailer to hellsing but not really, has similer charachers and it's just as fun to watch as hellsing.
Both of them are pretty similar, Same creator as well. Animation wise as well their both similar. This probably me only thinking this but Toyohis and Alucard are basically the same in character design wise (Especially Easy looks pretty much the same as Girlycard).
When his wife is murdered by the church, the powerful vampire Dracula exacts his revenge by unleashing all the powers of Hell upon Wallachia. Wandering a land now plagued by hoards of demonic creatures, Trevor Belmont, the last son of the excommunicated Belmont clan, seeks to defeat Dracula. He is aided by the power of Sypha Belnades and Alucard, Dracula's estranged son.
similar art style, these two anime center around the killings of monsters of the darkness. demons, vampires, werewolves and other monsters don't stand a chance when these two characters step up and take to battle. you'll find similar aspects regarding vampire violence and Alucard does appear as well, different stories but still the same representation.
It's got vampires, demonic things, evil religious people, and tones of gore. They go well together. Perfect for an action fan or a vampire fan.
Both are schlocky, violent tales of how the darkness is not only found around us, but also in the hearts of humans. Hellsing Ultimate is the far superior title, that has way more action, while Castlevania is one big set-up for S2.
If you like your vampires along with a big helping of ultraviolence, be sure to check out these titles.
Both of these are good-looking anime about killing vampires, with the gore to top it off. If you liked either of these, you might want to check the other
action flicks with lots of gore, awesome fighting and top notch animation.
Gory action with vampires as the main protagonists, both shows do not fear using uneasy spectacles and scenes, bathing in blood.
Both are about vampires, are gory, the action scenes are lit, technically both about Alucard...both are just dark and they're both great trust me and watch it.*thumbs up*
In Victorian England it is commonplace for the rich and wealthy to have a staff, led by a head butler, to run their households; the Phantomhive Estate is no different. The young and demanding Count Ciel Phantomhive, child owner of a toy company, lives in the grand countryside manor. Sebastian is his head butler, and the epitome of perfection; he effortlessly and gracefully completes his day-to day chores and fixes the countless mistakes of the other employees. However, whilst on the outside all seems prim and proper, a more sinister secret lies just beneath the surface. Sebastian is in fact a demon bound by a contract with the young count; he will loyally serve and fight for him in return for his soul.
Both series parallel each other so often it's startling.
Both lead males are psychotic monsters, with the insane smiles to prove it, serving under a human master with complete control over them.
The master figures also parallel. Last in a long line of English nobles wit a vendetta against anything threatening their queen. Another parallel, mentioned there, both set in London though Kuro lacks the awesome english dubbing.
Other Parallels appear in the from of Pip/Brad, Rip Van Winkle/Jack the Ripper and so on.
Simliar story mix of demon hunting and enough comedy and action to blance each other out.
Both anime are talking about evil side servants. About masters and servand realationships. About fighting with evil, power, politic and survining.
Oddly enough Hellsing reminds me a little of Kuroshitsuji. I guess its because both master use supernatural beings to do their fighting for them.
Both series also have to stop this insane person from destroying England. Both servants (Alucard and Sebastian.) have their mischeif habbits they like to use on their masters, as well as attempt to provoke a reaction. The only difference really is that Sebastian is more calm as for Alucard he's a bit more active, that and their species.
Ciel and Intregra are also very similar by serving the queen, solving problems in secret. The only difference is that Ciel is more cold and could careless for somebody else and Intregra isn't as cold and well you get the point.
So really if you look closely you can see the similarities besides slight historical information. If you liked Hellsing then you surely might like Kuroshitsuji.
Both main characters - Alucard and Sebastian are unstoppable semi-god creatures, They are obeying orders from their masters also their personal character are similar.
Their masters - Ciel and Integra can also be compared eg. they want their orders to be carried out without failure. And in both cases orders are being issued by the queen.
I am sure that if You enjoyed Hellsing - Kuroshitsuji will be good choice for You too.
Both Hellsing Ultimate and Kuroshitsuji have a master-servant relationship going on and takes place in England. The atmosphere in both animes have a dark, gloomy feel to it. In both anime the main character makes a contract with a supernatural being. Both of the main characters serves the Queen of England and eliminate any threat or concerns the Queen may have. If you enjoy one anime you might like the other
Honestly, I don't know how if you've watched one, you wouldn't like the other, because there's so many similarities, especially when it comes to Alucard & Integra, with Sebastian & Ciel. In short (without going into spoiler territory), you're missing out BIG time if you haven't watched both series.
For Kouta and Yuka, finding the bloody naked young girl on the beach would change their lives forever, for better or for worse. Unable to speak or function as a normal human being, she is named Nyu by the duo, and taken into their home in an effort to save her. But what neither teenager knows is that this innocent young girl is actually a killing machine -- an experiment gone terribly wrong -- and it is only a matter of time before the murderer in her awakens again...
Ok, there are not many similarities between Elfen Lied and Hellsing OVA, but they are both really really gory. If you liked the blood, gore and violence in Hellsing OVA your next anime should be Elfen Lied.
Elfen Lied and the Hellsing OVA share a strong gore ingredient, and both lead characters are mega cool killing machines.
The animation quality is remarkable on both sides and the story lines are remarkably deep; they aren't just like a Saw movie.
Bot elfen lied and hellsing have extreme levels of violence and gore. The main protagonist in both series' also have an air of cold blooded evilness about them which makes for a great atmosphere.
Some chi and killing in both of them.Elfen lied is a good anime with one of the best stories and full of killing that's why i recommend to you mand your friends.Hellsing is another perfect story with some vampires and more blood.
Both of them have the best drawing , animation.
Both are dark and violent. Both also have a main character capable of pretty much anything dark and gory but with a core of somethgin else, or at least a nugget of something else within them.
When Jonathan Joestar was just a baby, his mother tragically died in a carriage accident, and his father George was saved by the kindness of a stranger, Dario Brando. At least, that's what George believed, unbeknownst to him that Dario was just attempting to steal from the victims. Thus, when Dario later dies and his son, Dio, comes to his doorstep, the wealthy George eagerly adopts the boy. But what should have become a budding friendship between two siblings quickly becomes a nightmare for poor Jonathan, as Dio is cruel, calculating and will go to great lengths to become George's primary heir. Little does Jonathan know that this unfortunate childhood is only the harbinger of things to come...
You could talk about the vampire theme being similar in both shows, but actually what is more similar is the general feel of the shows. Both have gorgeous animation, both are amazingly over the top, though Jojo doesn't take itself so seriously.
I honestly think that anyone who enjoyed one would enjoy the other, they are both brilliant shows.
Both Hellsing Ultimate and JoJo focuses on pulpy battles involving vampires and other supernatural beings, but there are other, much more important similiarities between these two titles than that.
Both have a heavy focus on action, good direction and great visuals, and an overblown and bombastic feel that permeates the show. The casts consist mainly of larger than life characters that never shy away from breaking out in monologues or hamtastic dialogues.
Honestly, both are great fun, and if you liked either of then, it's a safe bet that you'll like the other one.
Vampires? Check. Muscular dudes beating the crap out of other? Check. Ridiculous fight scenes? Check. Weaponry or fighting techniques that seem to defy physics? Check.
Both of these anime are great action anime that are at times humorous and at times horrifying.
So, if you liked one, try the other.
JJBA and Hellsing are great shows with amazing animation, types of characters, sometimes it's fun and sometimes it's scary, but you enjoy both. I've seen Hellsing before and I loved it, but when I first seen JJBA (only opening) I didn't like it, because of that style of animation, but then I've watched first episode of second serie (I acidentally click on something else lol), I fell in love with this show like I did before with Hellsing, that's honestly why I'm writing this, if you liked one, you will like both or in ma case, love them both
Both have similar extremely over the top characters and action scenes. The art style, setting and even the speeches feel like a shared universe.
In times of olde, humans live in constant fear of demons known as yoma. These vicious creatures can take the appearance and memories of humans they have devoured, thus blending into society as they freely feast on human flesh. The key to stopping the yoma lies with the tolerated yet feared Claymores - women who are half-demon, half-human, and fully fated to become the demons that they hunt. Meanwhile, in a village, the young Raki has been banished; his only crime was losing his family to the yoma. Raki is drawn to a Claymore named Clare, and together their journey begins. While Clare fights the yoma plaguing the land, can Raki help her in her struggle to retain her humanity?
Blood, swords, more blood, more swords, more monsters, more secrets. This anime has a really twisted storyline, but it definitely keeps you wanting more.
Pretty similar in genre and have a very similar target audience. Both shows share the theme of monster erradication, both have very violent main characters, and both are under the employment/control of a strange organization
Lots of bloodshed occurs in both Hellsing Ultimate and Claymore. Also, both are animes about a superhuman monster hunter. In addition, both protagonists are also viewed as monsters by the rest of society - despite being their only effective defense against those monsters.
Both anime deal with superhumans who wield their powers for their own definition of good. In claymare, we follow Claire who tries to clear the world of demons, only to find that the true enemy is not the one she's been fighting. Hellsings shows us Alucard, vampire master who fights for his master. Both are strong anime that depict the struggle for those with power and the sacrifices one must make.
In the time of the Vietnam War, an American military base in Japan is plagued with a rash of killings whose assailant is unknown. Enter Saya, a mysterious young woman who happens to be the last of the vampire race, and has been charged by her government agency employer to investigate the sinister killings. With demons and creatures abounding, Saya must infiltrate a school to put a stop to the bloodshed -- unless the monsters get to her first...
Both Hellsing and Blood the Last Vampire are full of exciting and bloody action sequences which are the core of each show. They are both about "vampires," yet each presents its own unique version of the classic vampire.
Like brutal and bloody, but badass action scenes? Step right up as monsters fight monsters on the sly at the behest of secret organizations in Blood: tLV and Hellsing Ultimate. Alternative (occult spins on) history plays an important part in both pieces, as the shadow of war looms large over all the action. Hellsing has a far more developed plot than Blood, but if you liked the badass protagonist, fight scenes, and alt-history elements of one, you'll probably enjoy the other.
Vampire, gore, epicness!! Another great vampiresque hunter that are badass, Blood the last vampire is a great movie where a young schoolgirl wich is an actual vampire hunter get to protect her city from demon.
“Vash, the Stampede” - worth 60 billion dollars to the one who can turn him in. Bounty hunters everywhere are on the lookout for this legendary gunman, not to mention insurance agents Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson, who are tasked with preventing any potential damage that this Vash can cause. But with 60 billion on his head, Vash is not an easy man to find.
Vash and Alucard although totally different in nature are both extremely cool gun toting protagonists. If great gun fighting is your thing then you'll enjoy both series'.
Badass characters, great gunfights, good animation and one hell of a sountrack. What would an anime fan want more? OK it may not be in taste for some people but both series are a very enjoyable to watch. If you liked one you would surely like the other.
Gun fights, good action scenes, amazing main protagonist, equally good sound tracks. Both series (although definately more so hellsing) are series that an adult can enjoy, but they both make attempts at humor. Earning to fans of Hellsing who will check out Trigun, there is a lot more filler in Trigun. Watch the first episode of trigun, then skip to episode 17 if you want a fillerless experience like you got from Hellsing.
Rokuro Okajima is a small-time salaryman who is carrying documents for his company, when the ship he's traveling on is attacked by pirates. Kidnapped, he discovers to his dismay that his employers' main concern is to ensure the documents don't get into the wrong hands, even if it means sending the carrier to the bottom of the sea. Now, with his former life ruined and his kidnappers seeming comparatively friendly, "Rock" decides to join their merry band of mercenaries, and sets out with a new career to the shadier corners of the South China Sea.
badass gunfights, similar characters. Though they are about different themes, BL and HU will remind you of each other.
Both anime are filled to the brim with characters that are violent and with serious attitude problems, and there is a heavy focus on violence and action.
To me, Hellsing Ultimate is the superior anime, with better characters and more self-awareness, whereas Black Lagoon takes itself far too seriously most of the time. Still, both have that pulp magazine feel, since both are based on violent seinen manga, and expect a lot of monlogues about how crappy the world can be.
If either anime appealed to you, you would do well to check out the other one.
Theyre both gun fightin, adult orientated anime. Genders are reversed but you do get a sense of the same kind of relationship between the male and female protagonist in each story.
