Hacka Doll app delivers a customized feed of news for each user. The user answers some simple questions when launching the app for the first time, and then the app will filter the news that caters to the user's personal interests. With daily use, the app automatically analyzes and learns which news articles the user reads and recommends to further personalize the feed. The anime personifies the app's customization engine as three "Hacka Dolls" — the personal entertainment AI and main navigator Hacka Doll #1, the anime expert Hacka Doll #2, and the knowledgeable otaku Hacka Doll #3.

If you want to watch something fast and entertaining rather than being some elitist prick then watch Hacka Doll the Animation. Otherwise drink some bleach and continue watching filler arcs on long anime series.

Should you watch: NO Hacka Doll the Animation is an anime which primary purpose was to advertise an iPhone/ android app. Already, I predicted that this is going to be a sh-t show. Run time is an hour and a half. STORY: 3/4 girls go around trying to "advance" aka help people do various tasks and usually end up failing in a "humorous" way. Sadly though this anime completely fails to be funny at all. After 4 episodes I had to do something else (Pocket Mortys) in order for me not to kill myself. But with an anime whose purpose is to advertise an app I guess I should have known. ANIMATION: surprisingly really good. Everything is very clean and colorful. Really the only reason why this isn't a 1/10 SOUND: Decent. Intro is a little catchy, but other than that nothing. CHARACTERS: All main characters are cute, but other than typical characters stereotypes, there is nothing special. There is also no character development. OVERALL: I give it a 5 (bottom 25%). I wish I got that hour and a half of my life back. Unless all you care about is looks then stay away from this.
