No one ever reads these anyways, so I’ll keep it short again. I’m not one for overbearing fan service or cheesy slapstick cutesy characters, luckily for me ‘Gunsmith Cats’ knows how to control it. What impressed me most from this unfortunately short series was the writing, clever dialogue and character actions, consistent plot devices and yeah. It didn't suck.

Demograph: 12+

Pretty fun girls and guns escapads. I like Sonada Kenichi a lot because of his attention to detail with mechanics, and his jazzy character designs.

The stories aren't top notch but the entertainment value is pretty high.

Short OAV series that could really do with being revamped into a proper length show.

GSC is a classic for me. I seen it so many times and it never gets old.  It is one of the few animes that take place in America and the creator made each of the characters seem just like Americans.

The style of the anime is what stands out. If you like 90's action movies with guns and fast cars, then this anime is for you. The producer and dirtector of the anime did a awesome job capaturing the real sounds of the guns that were being used and the Mustang that is also used. It makes the experience from watching this anime 10x better.

Overall, I like to rate animes on everything that is listed Story, Animation, Sound, and Characters but, I also rate animes on if I would rewatch it. This is anime Gun Smith Cats, is definitely one of the anime I wouldn't mind to rewatch it ever year.

Love & Peace,

Short anime but it is explosive and addictive.

I wish there were more episodes but I'll check out the manga.

its very American, women lead- filled with violence and brutal action! It isn't for the weak! :)

What I Liked: The background art. The setting. The attention to detail in everything, from the series' depiction of Chicago to the weaponry used. The soundtrack is an amazing mixture of jazz that invokes some of the classic 80's action flicks. Sound design is great. What little "fan-service" the series has is surprisingly harmless and unobtrusive. English dub has good performances all round. The animation is fluid, with exceptional gunfight and car chase choreography.

What I Didn't: NITPICK: Some perspective gaffs.

Final Verdict: With a bombastic soundtrack and lively cast of characters that evoke the gun-and-car-saturated fun of 80's comedy-action flicks, Gunsmith Cats is an incredibly well-researched and entertaining romp through 1990's Chicago. It's short, sweet and the lead duo are absolutely brilliant to watch. On my Favourite Anime of All Time list.
