I struggle to leave a review here because I know how many people hate this anime, thus it begins to shape my judgement as I understand their frustrations. So I'm just going to erase all that from my head and remember my sole experience in and out of this anime before I read the view points of any others.

When I first started this anime I was doing one episode a night and every night I was so enthralled and eager for the next episode. Soon it became 2 to 3 episodes a night or as much as I could cram in XD. The opening of this anime is definitely one of my all time favorites (second half opening is alright but not as great). Inori has got to be one of my favorite characters of all time. Her voice and emotions in this anime are just everything for me.

Shu is our main character and he is kind of annoying and weak in the beginning. Naturally everyone hates a weak mc but I always try to be a bit more understanding in the sense that we are all human and some of us just don't have the constitution that people want in a main character right away. As the main character of my own life I am considerably weak sometimes.

Anywho there are other pretty vital characters obviously, but you can just watch to find those out.

Shu hits that turning point and for me it was one I wasn't fond of, but some people loved it lol. Shu then hits another turning point and thats the part I love.

I loved everything about this anime, the soundtrack is literally LIFE. I watched this anime 6 years ago and I still listen to the soundtrack. Especially Inori. Mostly Inori actually. Shu and Inori....man...honestly I don't even like mecha animes but this one was really good to me.

OH the biggest complaint I hear is the similarities between this and Code Geass but I don't really see it beyond the king's power and mecha's. The director of Code Geass did help create this show though so that's probably why people draw so many similarities.

A lot of people also hate this anime because of the ending, can't say I blame them. But to me as sad and tear-streaked my face was, this anime was just beautiful to me. Tragic, heartfelt, a chaotic ride to the finish line where I thoroughly enjoyed the different characters and the path the story took. Do I wish the ending was different? Every.darn.day. But man do I still love this anime.

-CONTAINS SPOILERS-

Guilty Crown is, in a word, brilliant.

Set in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic environment, Guilty Crown is a excellent, enthralling anime and is an beautiful addition to the always popular genre. The first episode throws the viewer head first into a subversive war between two entities, Funeral Parlour and the GHQ. The cause of this war is yet unknown.

This war introduces the viewer to the three main characters: Shu, Gai, and Inori. Shu, the protagonist,  starts with an excellent character development arc. This arc, and the others, progress smoothly until the twelfth episode. After this, the development of both the plot and the characters seem rushed, which gives the anime a "been there, done that" atmosphere.

One of the causes of this is the poor planning behind the revival of the leader of Funeral Parlour. After being killed during episode 12, he comes back in the most slapdash manner without any hint of foreshadowing to give the viewer a touch of suspense.

Regardless of its faults, Guilty Crown is an excellent anime that makes my top five list, though it is understandable if you disagree. It is definitely a must watch for those who wish to be introduced to a different perspective, or if you are just starting in the genre.

Story

This is the story of Shu who gains power that allows him to reach into hearts of mortals and turn them into weapons trough a stunning pop star(Trust me shes cute lol). Guilty Crown has a very decent story and its nothing that will blow you away.

Animation

The animation is really great and everythings looks really pretty so do the action sequences.

Sound

all I can say is that this anime has really good music and its probaly the best thing about it.

Characters

they are alright aswel. I mean the story is probably just as good as the character and neither of those are great. Some do have their great moments.

Eventhough this is my favorite anime(preparing for the hate) I can say this anime lacts alot. Im unsure if i would recommend it to friends because it isn't great, but it did touch my heart like just like FFXV and as such I consider it somewhat of a Guilty Pleasure(see what i did there? lol)

Guilty crown is one of the most popular animes till now. The consept and the plot of the story were made well. The characters were all very nice. This anime has a very good artwork and there are so many fighting scenes that made this anime interesting. But what I don't like about this anime is that some parts of the story doesn't makes sense. And I'm kinda dissapointed about the ending. Most ppl said that the ending was really sad. But what I expected is that the ending would made me cry, but it didn't. But overall, this anime is very worth it for you all to watch. Too bad there isn't a second season for this anime. :(

Yes, everything about this series is good apart from the plot. I know a lot of people enjoying it but maybe it's just not the one for me. I attempted to watch it many times but end up dropped it and then started again just to dropped it again ☹️

I really couldn't wrap my head around the story after all, some of you may says that I must be daff, but here I am trying to be honest, that I couldn't understand any single bit of it.

However, this anime also has a few good points. I like those character designs, the art looks pretty good, especially the background of every scenes, those action movements were splendidly created. The robot and those mecha stuff designs didn't impress me tho, could be bc I had watched Gundam and Neon Genesis Evangelion before so I didn't think those in Guilty Crown looks that good 😀

(Hopefully I'm not the only one watching Guilty Crown and feeling daff here! LOL 😂)
