Both have the same plot were characters found themselves in a gamelike world where they now have to used their wits and adapt in order to survive. However in Gringar the characters are compose of individual who have to work together to survive, while in KonoSuba, the MC is surrounded by useless girls whom only adds to his burden.

StevenSAKUJO StevenSAKUJO says

Both are stories about the human relationships within a real life MMORPG and focus around the difficulties and indulgences one may experience in this common setting. Although emotively seperate genres, that theme links the two and may be reason enough for a recommendation to someone who has watched one of these anime, to watch the other.

ChalamiuS ChalamiuS says

Both Grimgar and KonoSuba are about people that for one reason or another have been transported to a world that works a lot like an MMO.

KonoSuba is mostly focused on comedy and the silly adventures. Grimgar focuses more on character relationship and drama.
