East Force meets West Force and all Hell breaks loose. The Solonoids, that lovable race of female warriors, are at it again, fighting amongst themselves. During a heated battle, however, it looks like the leaders of the two factions have hung their warriors out to dry. In the middle of all this fighting and chaos, East Force detects a transmission from an unidentified planet. The Gall Force gals leave their posts to go. Lufy, the West Force's Ace Pilot, who is after Rabby, follows them to the planet.

This OVA is said to be a retelling of the original story, but it can barely be called that. While some plot elements are similar and the background remains almost the same, the whole thing is original enough to stand as its own story. Catty is at it again (I don't know why they love this character so much), doing what she always does. That being said, surprisingly enough, this OVA is not that bad (that is not to say it is good by any means), and it manages to keep the viewer engaged here and there. The story is also much more lighthearted than the original.The animation is okay, not OVA quality by any means, more like weekly episode quality. The character design follows the classical 90s style, which is okay for some themes, but I don't think it fits here. The characters' designs are also very generic. The visual direction is simple as well. The characters are the same as the original, not only generic in their appearance but also in their personality.All in all, I'm glad this is finally over! It's no surprise that I would not recommend this OVA to anyone, and if you've reached this point, you're probably trapped like me.
