Di Gi Charat and Galaxy Angel share a tendency for ridiculous and unusual humor with incredibly cute characters. While Galaxy Angel offers a bit more substance, you won't find Di Gi Charat lacking when it comes to comedic punch. Certainly worth a watch if you're looking for an off-the-wall laugh.
Although Broccoli created both Di Gi Charat and Galaxy Angel, that isn't my reason for recommending these two series. Both rely on sheer randomness to amuse and entertain you, with cute graphics to boot. Di Gi Charat is undoubtedly the more messed up of the two, but both should make you laugh just the same.
Enjoy random episodic comedy featuring aliens and/or outer space? Then both these series are for you. Both Galaxy Angel and Di Gi Charat have a similar style of comedy and both are also very easy to pick up and watch an episode of when you have some spare time.
The main characters from Di Gi Charat and Galaxy Angel both have a vague quest to complete, but it usually ends up getting pushed aside in favor of obscure tasks. It's impossible to tell where either show is headed, but with personalities that clash, wonderfully bizarre moments, and a dash of sci-fi thrown in for good measure, it's safe to say that wherever they take you, it should be worth the journey.
In both series, there is some task to complete, but this task is never really fully seen or done. It always gets replaced by another, much smaller (and funnier) ask. Both feature a cute cast with generally the same humor that occurs. At the same time, they even share an outer space/alien theme!
If you liked one, you will like the other!
Ten-year-old genius Chiyo, animal-loving Sakaki, loudmouth Tomo, athletic Kagura, weight-conscious Yomi and dim-witted Osaka are six friends who share laughs, good times, and a high school homeroom. With scary (and sometimes perverted) teachers, school festivals, penguin suits and general hilarity abounding, you can be sure that there's never a dull day in the life of one of these students!

Cuteness and hilariaty are what Azu is all about.
Both these animes are very alike, both in laugh out loud comedy with crazy characters to boot. Galaxy Angels is basically the Azumanga Diaoh in outer space. Each of the cast has a unique personality which contributes greatly into making both these animes very entertaining to watch.
Azumanga Daioh and Galaxy angel are both great comedies that have excellent stand alone episodes that can be watched at your own leisure.
Both are shows about a humorous group of unique individuals in nonsenical & silly adventures. They have hilarious cartoonish antics, playful arguments, and rarely achieve any substantial goals each episode. One's set in a school and the other's set in outer space, but other than that they're very similar.
F City, F Prefecture: the battleground where good and evil have finally chosen to decide once and for all who will rule the world…or at least that's the general idea! Neither side seems up for the task, as surviving the brutality of everyday life is enough of a chore. On the side of evil is the organization of Across, its only member the loudmouthed and abrasive Excel who struggles just to put food in her stomach; on the side of good, three disenfranchised, unemployed bachelors whose only pursuit in life is romance. Add in alien invasions, jungle warfare, and Mexican immigrant laborers to Japan, and this war doesn't seem likely to be ending soon!

Excel Saga and Galaxy Angel certainly don't suffer from a lack of humor. You'll find that the frantic pace and inplausible situations that arise will keep you laughing, as you watch some of the most energetic heroines to grace your TV/monitor. The somewhat perverted comedy keys these series for adults.
Both are pretty much crazy nonsense with no real fixed storyline. The brightly coloured fast moving animation style works well in both series'.
It is the Age of the Great Detectives. Gentleman thieves seek to steal the world's treasures with the aid of their superpowers called "Toys", while the forces of justice use their own Toys to try and stop them. Trained by Opera Kobayashi, the young Sherlock Shellingford, Nero Yuzurizaki, Hercule Barton, and Cordelia Glauca are the top students at Holmes Academy and members of the famous detective team Milky Holmes. But when a run in with the nefarious gentleman thief Arsene robs them of their Toys, the group's charmed life comes quickly to an end, banished to a squalid attic in one of the academy's dorms. Unfazed, but still hungry and shamed, the girls fight to regain their powers, their old life of luxury, and their status as the world's most famous detectives.

These shows are both about the silly antics of bumbling, ineffectual, but cute, heroines.
Galaxy angel has more of an older school sci fi feel, while TOMH is more like a fantasy magical girl anime. But don’t let either of these shows fool you with their girly-ness, they’re all male oriented
Both of these shows share a lot of insane bat-shit antics that will leave you in stitches. If you liked one you'll most certainly like the other. Another quick fact some Galaxy Angel va's are also in Milky Holmes.

Nadesico and Galaxy Angel really make you wonder what the governments of the future are thinking when they hire people. Quirky and funny, both series keep you laughing amidst the action. Nadesico gets quite a bit more serious, but I think you'll enjoy them both.
She cooks, she cleans, and is a lethal fighting machine. Mahoromatic, former Vesper battle android, has chosen to give up her weapons, extending her remaining life from 37 to 398 days. As Misato Suguru's maid, she fights battles of another sort, fending off an amorous teacher on one hand, ecchi magazines on the other. Can Mahoro save Suguru's innocence?

Okay, besides the similarity between Mint's and Mahoro's disguises, there is probably very little in common. But still a good funny show that would probably be just as addictive.
Satoshi and Arumi have been friends since early childhood, but now Arumi's family is moving to Hokkaido, deeply upsetting her long-time friend. However, when Arumi's grandfather accidentally breaks the pelican statue atop his restaurant, the duo find their world turned upside down and not quite as they left it. While there are some parody themes in Galaxy Angel, Abeno is all about parodying. Very funny of course.

To his delight, he accepts it, completely unaware of its past and its secrets. Shortly after, strange events begin to unfold, causing both humorous and ecchi situations for Galan to survive through, all the while protecting his mysterious sword full of secrets.

If you ar elooking for more idiotic humor in space, without the ecchi scenes, you might probably like Galaxy Angel. If you are more interested in idiot humor taking place on the vast ground and if you like samurais, check out Labyrinth of Flames.

Idol Project is definitely a LOT more ecchi than Galaxy Angel, but still tries to have the same sort of random humor as it, at the same time. If you need something high octane, check it out.
Welcome to the Miami Police department, a place where the afro is in style and trigger-happy policemen (and women) reside, including the borderline clinically insane Yao Sakurakouji! With a wealthy father who gives her money at the drop of a hat, there’s nothing stopping her from buying banks just to blow them up, and other destructive behaviors. Luckily, on the force she’s not alone due to her quiet introvert partner Lu Amano, who is everything Yao isn't. Together, this dysfunctional pair does their best in cleaning up the neighborhood from whatever might occur!

Odd and silly humor both prevail in both series. Another similarity is that both series are both "fight for justice" series, although this aspect is somewhat stronger in Miami Guns compared to Galaxy Angel. A major difference is the space setting.
