I don't think any anime has made be cry so suddenly and without warning... Literally 3 minutes before I'm completely normal and 3 mintures later I'm sobbing. This animation is only 3 minutes long, yet it manages to tell a story better than most anime or movies. Its really it's hard to explain in words the effects of this anime, its only 3 minutes so just watch it and see for yourself.

Furiko is a magnificent love story, and manages to humanize the characters brilliantly, give a lot of information about their life, and eventually tell the tale of how a mature love can be stronger than all the hardships in the world. The animation is simplistic and very raw, mirroring the minimal feel of going through decades of a couple's life with all their ups and downs. The music is a fantastic and emotional backdrop giving a melancholic yet uplifting tone to it all. It is also the story of a man realizing that he always had what he really wanted, and accepting the truth of the world for all its pain and beauty. There is a beautiful symmetry to how the characters' lives unfold, and a strong saying about the place of people in life. I cannot recommend this enough. In three minutes, if you have even a shred of a heart, it will move you like very few things can. Raw, powerful, moving, and a must watch for everyone and anyone.
