these two anime's are both quite similar in terms of there being animals involved, one with fruit basket and having shigure as a wolf and then having the male protagonist of this as a fox, it may appease to others anime fans who have liked fruits basket to turn their heads and also look at this one

Both Fruits Basket and Kamisama have animal-human themes, as well as light hearted comedy sprinkled in with heavier themes. Both main characters are (essentially) orphans who are "adopted" by their respective families and create bonds with the members of their extended family.

Also, both anime have a wide variety of character types, whether it's the over the top, flamboyant Ayame and Otohiko; the menacing and mysterious Akito and Kirihito; and the loved by all "idols" with a dark past Yuki and Kurama.

Both shows have a wonderfully diverse cast of characters that are fully fleshed out with interesting and sometimes horribly tragic back stories that leave you wanting more (Seriously, where is season 3 of Kamisama Kiss?!?! We got the 2019 reboot for Fruits basket.... finish up Kamisama!)
