I swear this has got to be the best anime I've ever watched. And Ihave watch alot. If you think season 1 is good season 2 is even better. Everything perfect the sound, Story, animation, character. I tried to put 100 in the overall score but it said Overall Score is not a valid user_review_score. :P

Highly suggest this anime

Still going strong with Season 2 focusing more on the growth of Yuki and school time. Secondary characters get more face time and their stories expanded on too.

All I know is that there is zero way Akito gets "redeemed" in my eyes. I read the wiki on that character because I couldn't fathom how it could possibly be turned around. *Spoilers* I still don't agree with the results. Because here's the thing, all 12 members of the zodiac had terrible parents, were abused (by her) and none of them turned around and started abusing others. True some didn't know how to properly interact with others, but they didn't go around slashing eyeballs. I'm very interested in how Season 3 will seek to turn her story around. Sorry just had to mini rant.

if you saw the first version 'fruits basket' you would know what's happening and the delivery, it is so amazing. they continue on in the manga path and the draw it out so well, this season is going to be awesome and hit you with a bang, especially for certain characters. lots of development in this season too and you see how evil people can be, especially the innocent looking ones.

I have to say ladies and gents, this 2nd season of Fruits Basket has been such a lovely ride to keeping us entertained while in this pandemic time. I AM ALSO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO triple excited for the final season that was announced today for 2021.  I literally wanna see Tohru and the gang again. They are literally great characters who really do grow on you if you keep watching the show. It really made me laugh with the silly shenanigans between the interactions within any of the zodiac animals to Tohru.

I also can't wait for the certain ships to develop more in the next season ;)

The art makes me so speechless like wow man.......

I also loved the opening song "Prism" among the other rest of the songs heard in this. I swear if you have not watched Fruits Baskets or even read the manga, what the he'll are you doing here????

Go friggin watch/read bros for god sake!!!!

As someone who enjoyed the first season of the 2019 anime, I was looking forward to the stories progression. However, the main thing I felt with this season was that it was a bit... off? or perhaps even boring. Usually I don't like labelling a show as 'boring' because to different people that means a different thing based on what they personally enjoy. But I did heavily feel this season was just a bit of a filler to set us up for season 3. That's great and all, but only if the filler is consistant and has significant meaning.

I did feel at times they were putting in a bunch of sad depressing backstories of literally every character. It just kind of felt that there wasn't really a main (or secondary) character that didn't have some dramatic and depressing backstory. That's fine, if there is balance but I personally didn't get that much. Sure, there was some nice lightheared moments but I did feel the drama start to get a bit tiring and over the top.

However if you are a fan of Yuki you will probably like this season a lot. It is clear from the first season that Kyo was the centre character (obviously as well as Tohru). I liked that Yuki finally got some more screen time, and his own story was planned well. I did feel that his story dragged out a bit, but the writers must have done something right because I love his character now compared to the first season where I was kinda 'meh' about him. I was a little disapointed that Kyo didn't get much screen time compared to last season, but maybe that's biased because he's my fave.

Overall, I did enjoy the season but I think they could have cut a few episodes down. It seemed there was a lot of reptition and 'flashbacks' which were not really needed in my opinon, although I guess it's good to remind the viewer of the story sometimes. If they had taken off all of the scenes which kind of felt like 'filler' I probably would have enjoyed it more. That being said, the characters are extremely loveable (especially Kyo and Yuki!).
