Both of these over sexualise strong females a lot. They both involve some sort of sci-fi twist and in most cases the fights end up with the main character touching them or them loosing clothes in certain areas i.e the breast area. In the end both of these are heavily fanserviced and if you liked one you should like the other (To be honest they both have the same purpose...fanservice)

Epimondas Epimondas says...

While I didn't care for the gender focused heavy violence against women in Freezing, the sense of danger, risks, effort to achieve, and unique characters still proved strong points.  Sakura has a similar sense of broad dangers; pressures to join and perform; graphic violence; number of death and wounded; broad and immediate threats upon detected attacks; and an unstable school life.  While violence is heavy or suggested in Sakura , it's not as centrally focused as in freezing which allows more resources to other story aspects.  Thus pacing, buildup, even character distribution and evolution are fulfilled more successfully in Sakura.  Structure and rules aren't to far apart but the how fights are carried out and in some ways the no way back nearly suicidal necessity while still suggesting at least some level of teamwork in Sakur creates a more grim yet hopeful atmosphere.
