Story - 4/10 A short little episode that details how Takeru and Biz started working together on his racer. In the episode Takeru and Kazuma are hauling his broken down trike back to town in hopes of making it into a racer. When they go to the repair shop Biz is there coincidentally working on a race engine. The owner allows them to work on it free of charge in his shop, as long as they buy parts from him. We witness Takeru's first race, where he refuses to listen to Biz, goes full out and blows his engine in the first seconds. Finally they also show us where Takeru got his Apollo jacket, it was hidden beneath random junk in the shop and he basically stole it. Animation - 4/10 Everything was done completely like the series. Sound - 4/10 Since there was no english dub to this series the voices were less annoying, but then again it also lacked any music or even sound effects. Characters - 3/10 There isn't much character building in the six minute episode, but we do witness that Takeru was always a complete jerk. He steals from the shop and when he screws up the race he still refuses to believe it's his fault, and mocks the guys who actually moved more than 2 feet. The writers really seemed to dislike this character to make him an all our horrible person. Overall - 4/10 This should have been part of the series itself, as it was somewhat more interesting than the filler and nonsense that took up most of our time there.
