And with this another show completed this season, and another show ending on a cliffhanger “alluding” to another season, but personally unlike the other shows this season this time it doesn’t really bother me because Food Wars, in essence, is just a continuing ongoing cooking battle that never has an end so I didn’t expect it to have an ending this time, and in fact I think this is probably one of the better seasons of Food Wars since all the pacing was pretty good and it followed the manga’s pacing fairly closely from my understanding (instead of like what happened during season 2). My only real gripe with this season being, the jarring cut between them not having a plan for the shokugeki, and then them just magically out of nowhere having a complete team. I would have liked more details on what happened there, but I’m assuming that was a deliberate cut that also happened in the manga, and we will eventually have a flashback about what happened so I’m fine with it. Other than this I am kind of sad that it will probably not have another season until at least a year from now since, from my understanding, this season is pretty close to the manga so it will take some time for them to get far enough out again for us to get another season. But I’m fine with that cuz I rather them wait for more material than just making filler or anime my only stuff. In conclusion I am happy with how this season all turned out, and as long as they don’t draw this whole elaborate cooking battle too far out (meaning no more than at MAX 12 - 18 more episodes) I am really happy with this Ark, so I feel it is only right to give this season a 9/10 just like the other half of this season got when it aired in fall 2017, with me possibly raising it to a 10 whenever this ark ends, and depending on how it all plays out😊
