Magic and monsters are plentiful in the world of Locus-Solus, and former knight captain Astra L. Doomsday has seen more than his fair share over the years. He decides to retire after finally saving up enough money to fulfill his dream of buying a house, and moves far away from the excitement of the city hoping for a life of peace and quiet. His hopes are dashed on the very first day when a tiny witch named Noah crashes through his window and somehow ends up living with him. Soon a pair of bandit brothers arrive tracking mud on the floor in pursuit of the girl, and a blind dragon with a sweet-tooth puts a giant hole in his roof! As more and more weirdos come barging in - and his beloved new house takes more and more damage - Astra can only be certain of one thing: his new life is proving to be anything but peaceful or quiet!
