One Piece

One Piece

Long ago the infamous Gol D. Roger was the strongest and most powerful pirate on the seas. As he was about to be executed he revealed that he hid all of his wealth, including the legendary treasure known as One Piece, on an island at the end of the Grand Line - a treacherous and truly unpredictable sea. Monkey D. Luffy is a spirited, energetic and somewhat dim-witted young man with a very big dream: to find One Piece and become the Pirate King! However Luffy is no ordinary boy, as when he was younger he ate one of the Devil's Fruits and gained its power to become a Rubber Man. Now in this grand age of pirates Luffy sets out to gather a crew and sail to the most dangerous sea in the world so that he can fulfill his dream... and maybe even his appetite!

While set in different worlds, both series share a similar feel for the main characters, storyline, and artwork

Szwagier Szwagier says...

Both are Shounen battle shows focused on a group of friends, working together as a team ( they are called "guild" in Fairly tail, and "pirate crew" in One Piece).

Both shows focus on "fighting to protect your comrades" . Both shift focus between comedic moments of peace and serious times of battles. Also the drawing style and the mood is really similar. If you enjoy one of the shows, you will probably enjoy the other one as well.

cassiesheepgirl cassiesheepgirl says...

Both Fairy Tail and One Piece are similar in quite a few ways. Both have a similar style of comedy - and a hefty amount of it to boot. They also share the same mix of comedy and madcap action, while the main protagonists, Natsu and Luffy are both exceedingly strong young guys with a huge appetite. Finally, with a similar visual style, I'd say that if you liked one then you will like the other.

Both these shows are battle focused comedies. They involve a group of friends who travel together for generally individual goals. Their humor and art styles are very similar. Fans of one will no doubt like the other as well.

BushidoSan BushidoSan says...

Both have a lot in common - both shounen anime with very similar styles, lots of comedy and similar main characters.

KurisuKun KurisuKun says...

First thing you'll notice about these two is the very similar Artwork, but its more than that. Fairy Tail just has the same "vibe' One Piece has with it's colorfull envirements, creativly enemies and sidecharacters...the list goes on. The fighting style varies but like any good Shounen, it's well planned out and provides memorable battles. What stands out most between these Animé's is the trademark humour wich is highly enjoyable for both young and old. Highly recommended! ^^

Fairy Tail is a very funny series exactly as One Piece.Natsu and Luffy are very similarily drawn but they also share the same character. They devour everything can be eaten and have absolutely no limits.I recommend watching both of them if you are an adventure/comedy type!

rebornhitman rebornhitman says...

They have a really good plot. Each character is unique.

If you like adventure-action type anime then you should watch one piece.

Same style of drawing, similar storyline, identical characters, congruous feelings

Both animes are just great. I'm surprised that they haven't been made by same person.

Nevo Nevo says...

Fairy Tail and One Piece both share the same type of Main Character and drawing style. They both want to help protect the precious things they care about. Both characters are alike because of attitude of not giving up and trying their best.

Sarrynn Sarrynn says...

Because both anime have a main caracter with many people who hare supporting them [In One Piece it's all the Nakama (friend) of Luffy and in Fairy Tail it's all the guild of Fairy Tail who are supporting all the member from the guild] and a lot of people who want to detroy them [In One piece it's the marine and in Fairy Tail it's the other guild].

In both anime there also a lot of fight and both anime have they're own type of power [In Fairy Tail it's the magic and in One piece it's the Devil Fruit].

Anathemus Anathemus says...

Fairy Tail and One Piece are clearly very similar, especially the HUGE amount of characters, the story arcs are short and the artwork is even very similar, especially in the manga.

This anime has the same feel and vibe as the other. Strong group of characters taking on tasks while working on protecting a girl. Not a bad match up over all.

KittyEmperor KittyEmperor says...

If you liked one series of these series then you will most likely end up liking the other.  Both series focus around a group of individuals working together for some common purpose.  With each having the group of people facing both individual battles that they have to fight alone and battles in which they manage to get through it by working together as a team.  In each series we also always end up with the main cast causing huge amounts of trouble from time to time but with things always working out in the end by some miracle or another.  Also in each series we end up with head strong young male leads you end up just charging into things without giving it much thought.  There is also quite a bit of humor in each series so that in between all the fighting and sometimes serious tones the viewers stay entertained through various jokes and funny moments.

Koryo Koryo says...

Both series are very sensitive about characters relations. Their friendship is most important thing in both of them. Naming nakama, adventures, same sense of humour, great fun and many more.

There was a joke around the internet when Fairy Tail started to air: I liked it better when it was called One Piece. And almost a year after that there is still similarity. Both have simmilar animation, storyline and even main characters have simmilar personality. Overall i think that if you enjoyed One piece or Fairy Tail you would like the other...

awpaperwings awpaperwings says...

For anyone that enjoys watching Fairy Tale, I cannot recommend One Piece enough. Although the main characters of the two are very similar, to me One Piece feels much more planned out, funnier and more quality all around. For example, in One Piece, the length of each fight from fight to fight is very varied, and the skills Luffy uses are creative and reanimated each time, while in Fairy Tale, the skill animation sequences are obviously recycled.

zelos zelos says...

When I start to watch fairy tail i think that was the typical shounen intro, introduce the main girl, introduce the hero that not seems to be nobody and the the powerful entry, i think that goes to be pretty similar to Naruto so i feel a bit disappointment. But then star the real fights i think everything goes to be done by Natsu (that is something that i really hate everything done by the main character no way) but then gray had real fights, Lucy entry in the fights so she no become the typical girl don´t do anything more than cry and shout the main character´s name, and then appear the great Erza i really love her . Natsu and Luffy are pretty similar (but Luffy is more cool XD) the other characters had a lot of personality and they are very original, Fights are intense they don´t have to fight along 20 ep, 1 ep for fight is enough and for put all the drama/intensity of the fight (main fight not include XD).

I think Fairy tail´s creator learn a lot of things about shounen for Oda, they have to do a few steps more to catch One Piece but i think they go in the good way

93lpsa 93lpsa says...

it's like one piece with magicians

it's like fairy tail with pirates

is there really an minimum for this recommendation. oke well

luffy-natsu both feel the same way about there pirate crew or guild

AC1 AC1 says...

Although the shows are, at the surface, extremely different, they feel eerily the same. Both are shounen anime that focus around a small team of characters, and both have similar animation and humor incorporated. Both are a great watch, and I find it hard to imagine somebody liking one but not the other.

FatalGlory FatalGlory says...

Both shows have similar characters and comedy I find the whole pirate crew and guild thing very similar, as well as the way the characters interact Eg. Nami & Lucy try to control Natsu & Luffy. Both shows can switch from comedy to serious in a matter of seconds and are very fun to watch.

TheVampireLady TheVampireLady says...

Honestly these two animes are like long lost siblings. They have somewhat similiar art and they have filled with comedy and epic fights.

Also the charas are very similiar ex. Natsu and Luffy is a lot alike; Stupid and eats alot :D

If you liked one, you will surely like the other!

gretzky99 gretzky99 says...

Fairy Tail is very similar to One Piece. Their core concepts are pretty much the same (magic - devil's fruits, magicians - pirates, guilds - pirate crews) and they are centered around a bunch of friends who always gets involved in exciting adventures.

Shadowandmatt Shadowandmatt says...

i recomend it because both are pretty open as far as what can happen the world they are vast and you never know what will happen next.

m0m0 m0m0 says...

When i think about Fairy Tail I am reminded of One Piece. Each anime has a fairly young "main" hero. Luffy and Natsu are both young, hot headed and have an underlying leadership ability that has not yet fully showed itself yet. Both also have unlimited potentail yet to be actived. If we move futher out, both anime have a team/nakama around the "main" hero. The team members each have their own strengths and weakneses that contribute to the team. Each anime also has a journey involved in the story. In One Piece the story is evident, but in Fairy Tail it is not as evident, but for each character, an un discovered journey exists. Theme wise, both animes deal with fictional topics, pirates with super powers in One Piece and people with super powers in Fairy Tail. Over all I enjoy One Piece more but would recomend both equally!!!

Fairy3D Fairy3D says...

In some way i got the feeling that the artwork are pretty similer. both thease animes have a similer action style and both Natsu and Luffy are pretty similer they are hot headed and optimistic. I'f you're lookin for a anime that is similer with Fairy Tail check this one out :)

DeDaan DeDaan says...

Both anime's are about the main character who wants to complete his goal and has its own kind of way of making it. During that journey he makes new friends who will help to reach this goal. Also both anime's include good fighting scene's.

ripghoti ripghoti says...

Like other reviews, these animes have similar characters, plots, etc.

What grabs me with both is the mixture of fun and fighting.  The otherworldly powers of both series make them ripe with fuel for the imagination.  No matter if it's finding a pirate with a bizzare devil fruit power or a wizard with unique spells, the creativity is in a continual flow.  Not just in battle, but in comedy as well.  The empty headed antics of a phenominal fighter clashing with friends or the quirks of various characters keep you wondering what will happen next.

Of you like one, definatly try out the other.  You will not be disapointed.

jigzwafu jigzwafu says...

It's so much the same in a deeper way.. like their friendship and the bonds they share together.. it's just like it ^^

Shiraiyuki Shiraiyuki says...

One Piece and Fairy tail are similar in the charcters, they're all very into the concept of "Nakama" and also the main characters have they're own charm (if you can call it that) that can turn villains into allies, and they never give up.....

Thats why I think, if you like one, go for the other you'll love it!

nasreen10 nasreen10 says...

Both have similar artwork and emphasis working together as a group and camadrie. One Piece deals with a group of pirates while Fairy Tail deals with a guild. Both have magical elements with One Piece having the devil fruit while Fairy Tail has magic. Although both are action series, they is plently of laugh out loud humour.

Both groups of characters do have moments where they don't get along with each other but, ultimately, do care about each other.

Luffy and Natsu are similar characters. Both can be dimwitted but care deeply about their friends. They are headstrong and act first instead of thinking.

Also, both have hit or miss soundtracks.

sm3xyang3l sm3xyang3l says...

Both main characters are fun and very interesting. Luffy and Nastu both fight to protect their comrades and friends. As the story progresses, both get stronger, mentally and physically, although you can't really tell because of they fun and outgoing attitude. Also, both characters are looking for the person/dragon whom is like a father to them.

unitzero unitzero says...

Both stories are set in a fantasy world filled with colorful characters with a heavy focus on fighting, adventuring, and comedy. Both series feature great fist pumping music and share similairites in their physical character designs. As with most long running battle shounen series the main theme that runs throughout these stoires is finding strength through the bonds of friendship. If you like one of these you will certainly find things to like about the other.

CeruleanCielo CeruleanCielo says...

Fairy Tail uses a lot of elements that are characteristic from One Piece. Not that I mind OP is a great anime to get inspiration from. Both have epic stories, a vast and complex "universe" where the story is set, they both use comedy heavily to tell the story, and Natsu (Fairy tail) does share some character traits with Luffy.

ycyt ycyt says...

They both are Strong Main Character and in the most difficult situations they show great strength to overcome them .

both series give a great story to watch with various actions taken my the main character. also do the main characters have this awesome power that keeps getting better in power and awesomeness.

They both are funny, full of action, and have amazing characters! One Piece is definatley much goofier than Fairy Tale but they are still both quite good.

GigasImpacta GigasImpacta says...

They both are about supposedly unlikely heros who always rise to the occasion. The constant addition of enemies turned ally is also a siilarity between the two anime, I fully endorse watching One Piece if you like Fairy Tail and visa versa.

FaintIce FaintIce says...

Both Fairy Tail and One Piece focus on the group, not the individual. While each show has it's main character, neither anime would function properly without any of its other characters. And while they go about it in different ways, the two anime get the bonds between all the characters established swiftly and powerfuly.

With their strong emphasis on friends and teamwork,  there is plenty of action, humor, and drama involved to keep you on your feet and interested in continuing the story.

rsomeone rsomeone says...

Both have male protagonists with similar upbeat personalities. While OP relies on magical elements brought on by the devil's fruits, FT actually uses magic. FT moves at quite a faster clip than OP does (little to no filler!), but both have a great adventure storyline.

if you like fairy tail... you well like one piece, because  both series share a similar feels for the main characters, storyline, and artwork....but one piece is much better

Jare Jare says...

Fairy Tail and One Piece are similar in so many ways. So. Many.

First off, the obvious: They're both shounen comedies with a lot of action. Both shows focus a lot on the concept of 'nakamas', the power of friendship.

The main characters are very similar, too. Luffy & Natsu are both leaders that can be a bit dimwitted sometimes, yet becomes a fighting genius when the time calls for it.

"One Piece focuses on pirates, while Fairy Tail focuses on magicians." <- That's the only difference I can think of for these shows. There are so many things similar about them. The artwork. The style of comedy. The uncountable cast.

If you liked one, I'm sure you'll like the other. There's no other show that could the other one more perfectly.

FreebooterFox FreebooterFox says...

While many Shonen series have common central themes, Fairy Tail and One Piece have some very obvious visual similarities that may stem from the manga authors' association with one another. The pace of the story progression is about the same for both series, as are the over-the-top expressions and the cast of characters.A male protagonist with super-physical powers brought about by happenstance. A female sidekick who serves as eye candy, tells the audience when we should be worried for the good guys, and has more strength and ability than they let on. The scowly, but gifted rival, who reluctantly agrees to team up with the main protagonist. The animal sidekick who provides comedic relief. And of course everyone has a storied past full of drama and tragedy that is slowly revealed over these series, which are either agonizingly long-running or a response to a gigantic fandom, depending on your appreciation of these series. You'll find any or all of these in other shonen series, but if you're looking for epitome of the genre, or just need to get your fix after finishing an entire series, either one of these will do nicely.

Mayby you heard that Luffy is the type of dumb main charakter, so i really wanna kill someone who said it. He isnt dumb. He only dosnt care. Everybody care about all the troubles. He doesnt. It's basically the story of One Piece with the dynamics and magic of Fairy Tail. The main character is what you might get combining Natsu and Naruto, His team is basically the Fairy Tail guild and it's leader is practically Laxus with black hair and no lightning. Fairy Tail is like Black clover in some character similarities, the general mood, and interpersonal dynamics. Personally, Fairy Tail is funnier, has more compelling arcs (...sometimes) and faster than Black Clover to get into.

Not to mentioned both Natsu and Asta are stubborn and funny in a way I like to see a character in anime. Also there a a lot of badass characters we can compare like Luck and Gazeel, both love to fight and are always looking for openings for that.

In both animes, the characters place their friends and comrades above all else. They support each other and go on adventures, take on battles, and meet new people. Every character becomes stronger as the story progresses and also fight stronger foes. Both animes are in a world where people use their own specific type of magic. In Fairy Tail, people form what they call magic guilds that are each led by a guild master, but in Black Clover, the people that protect the kingdom form magic knight teams that are each led by a captain. Both the guild/the team has people that crash the guildhall/base, do whatever they want and are free to enjoy life to the fullest. Both animes do involve demons and magical creatures like say dragons. Well, you don't get elves in Fairy Tail, but at least you get flying cats. I recommend both ways because they are very similar but also different in their own way. All in all, people who love action, adventure, travel, and suspension should watch these animes.

Both MC have one goal and that is to train hard and become the strongest to protect everyone. Both similar series about a guild which have strong bonds with one another.  Each series has a strong theme of magic, where things like demons and monsters are both available.

The differences are that Black Clover has a large theme on class diversity and the main character doesn't have magic.

Fairy Tail is a lot longer of a series although unlike most long series, most of their arcs are rather good.

The main character in both shows is clumsy muscle heads with a snooty side character female best friend. In both shows the mcs go on journeys to grow their knowledge and magic while fighting with their friends. There are other similarities as well. I prefer black clover because it has newer and better animation and a different plot altogether. They are both worth the watch!

Both shows are focused on group of friends, taking dangerous missions for the sake of the organisation they work for. Thx to their special powers they can fight with criminals or rival organisations in order to complete the assignment.

Both stoies are battle oriented, and the plot is there as a way, to get into new battles.

The main difference is that in Naruto we have ninja and ninja villages, and in Fairy Tail there are mages and mage guilds. If you like one of the shows you should like the other as well.

Naruto and Fairy Tail have very simalar plot styles. (instead of ninjas its mages) Fairy tail's animation style is a bit more comedic. With styleized expressions that look more like the manga. If you like one you'll like the other!

Both anime also have action and many fight with power [In Fairy Tail it's the magic and in Naruto it's the Chakra].

Both are Shounen, they pretty much do the genre by the book, yet in a great way. If you want something revolutionary look somewhere else, but if you want a good anime (and you like shounen) don't miss it. I can't help it, Natsuu makes me think of Naruto and Gray of Sasuke... Oh and Sakura is similar to Lucy... Well except that Sakura was (in the begining) only thinking about love unlike Lucy.

cakeorrdeath cakeorrdeath says...

These shounen animes have the same basic premis. A group of young specially skilled heroes in search of adventure and to defeat the evil that threatens the greater good around them. Great battles and comedy hijinks accompany them on there journeys. Whilst the theme changes slightly with each anime the engaging story, great characters, exciting fights and comedy are ever present.

varisk varisk says...

Both these anime are very similar in feel. They both start out, fairly episodic with 3-4 Man teams accomplishing various missions. The missions also tend to be more then they seem. For example, a simple fetch quest turns into discovering a much larger plot. The main characters are also similar, the two male leads are great friends yet they are always competing and getting in fights. The main male lead, Natsu is similar to Naruto in managing to accomplish something people thought was not possible, minus the whole stigma of being the carrier of a demon.  He tends to pull his power out of nowhere when he defeats yet another insurmountable task. You will find that many of the other characters draw similar parallels in either series. They are good compliments and if you enjoy one, you should the other. The art could also be called similar if you are into the clean smooth look of the series.

Both Naruto and Fairy tail focuse strongly in the concept of Nakama. To the character in Fairy tail and Naruto,  their nakama are the most important thing to them and they will do anything and everything to protect them.In both there's a strong main character who can raise everyone's spirits everytime their depressed; help them no matter what the situation is and he is a very reliable person despite being a bit reckless.

FreebooterFox FreebooterFox says...

While many Shonen series have common central themes, Fairy Tail and Naruto have some visual similarities. The pace of the story progression is about the same for both series, as are the over-the-top expressions and the cast of characters.

A male protagonist with super-physical powers brought about by happenstance. A female sidekick who serves as eye candy, tells the audience when we should be worried for the good guys, and has more strength and ability than they let on. The scowly, but gifted rival, who reluctantly agrees to team up with the main protagonist. The sidekicks who provide comedic relief. And of course everyone has a storied past full of drama and tragedy that is slowly revealed over these series, which are either agonizingly long-running or an appropriate response to gigantic fandoms, depending on your appreciation of these series.

You'll find any or all of these in other shonen series, but if you're looking for epitome of the genre, or just need to get your fix after finishing an entire series, either one of these will do nicely.

The kingdom of Liones is thrown into turmoil when the king's Holy Knights are corrupted by a distinctly unholy demonic power. The land's only hope is a band of powerful warriors known as The Seven Deadly Sins - an exiled group of oddballs who seem to spend as much time fighting each other as they do fighting their enemies. It also feels like the lines in both of these are directly copied from each other, you can always imagine a Fairy Tail character saying the lines they say in Magi for instance.

Setting and story-wise they're not that far off either, both are set in a world where magic is quite common, in Magi it's hyped at first like being super rare, but then you realize there are a ton of people who have magic as well...

Anyway, if you liked either, you'll like the other. They're both shounen type action anime filled with adventures in a world you've not yet seen.

Trinityninja Trinityninja says...

Fairy Tail and Magi are a lot alike, except Magi focuses on much less people having magic and dungeons, while fairy tail focuses on quests and exploration. Magi also gives off a bit more of a childish vibe, but to be honest there are really intense moments, not as much as Fairy Tail, but definitely worth your while. Magi also has the same ability fairy tail has where it can make you feel bad for the antagonists. Overall, Magi's a bit of a different style but I can definitely say both of these are worth checking out!

Fun adventure stories filled with magic and colorful characters. Both are set in a fanasty version of the ancient past.

Magi and Fairy Tail are both reletivly 'good natured' anime series with great characters and relationships. They both feature an exciting array of people whom travel together and fight for one another. I love the strong characters in both and the artwork is done beautifully. The anime are both fantasy and action based, and feature an impressive variety of magic.

marsonearth marsonearth says...

Fairy Tail is as amazing as Magi. Seriosuly, both series are have similar parts such as adventures, battles, problems... And I loved both series very much.

I will just say YOU MUCT WATCH BOTH. I would start off from Magi and then watch Fairy Tail, because in my opinion, Fairy Tail is a little bit better and longer, which could make some people a little tired of watching, but its worth it in the end :D

The closest match out there, both offer a fair amount of magic/combat/action/adventure, combined with the fantasy style setting and comedy factors. If you watched either of these, you will feel right at home with the other one.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

The foundation of alchemy is based on the law of equivalent exchange; you cannot produce something from nothing. As such, alchemy is bound by one taboo - human transmutation. Four years ago two young brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric, broke this taboo when they tried to resurrect their dead mother. During the process Al's body disintegrated and Ed lost his leg. In a desperate attempt to prevent his brother from disappearing completely, Ed sacrificed one of his arms so he could affix Al's soul to a suit of armor. When his missing limbs are replaced by auto mail parts, Ed bears the name of the Fullmetal Alchemist - the youngest ever State Alchemist and dog of the military. Now, alongside his brother, Ed uses his status within the military to attempt to find any way that he can return their bodies back to their original state.

Both series are similar in many ways:

-They are in nice fantsy world,

-Both are about some kind of special people with uncommon abilities fighting for sake of their faction (Alchemists for military, mages for guilds).

-In both friends and trust are important

-Fights are similar sometimes

-In both abilities are based on magic circles (less in Fairy Tail but still)

And more!

These two have a lot similarities. Magic <> Alchemy. Both Ed and Lucy faces the fact Magic/Alchemy can also be used to do bad things. If you liked Brotherhood or Fairy Tail you'll most certainly like the other one aswell.

Both series involve the usage of magic (either in the form of Alchemy or otherwise). Brotherhood is the more serious and methodical of the two; whereas, fairy tail is more whimsical and comical.

Both Fullmetal and Fairy Tail are similar in the sense that they both take place in a world where people have magical abilities.  Fairy Tail is more of a fun entertaining anime and Fullmetal is more dark and intense, but they have similar elements.

The story for both are highly intriguing making you want to watch more and more while also delivering great comedy and un-canny plot twists

Verified Verified says...

The anime's themselves are not similar, but the world and setting they take place in is very much so. In the world of Fairy Tail, magic is used as a commodity and only exists within 10% of the population. In the other world, alchemy can be performed by anyone, but only a fraction of the population has the drive and intelligence to understand it. Each also sport an alternate reality that is the opposite of their respective worlds.

There is nothing similar about the series at all Fairy tail is awful fanservice garbage that cannot make a good plot or have decent villains. Every damn arc the same thing happens its really repititive and its actually an insult that anyone would compare this garbage to outstanding series like FMA brotherhood.

People shouldn't outright lie in their recommendations just because they like this series a lot. FMA has a serious plot that makes sense and Alchemy is a mixture of science and magic while Fairy tail has a lot of mini arcs where good guys win thanks to plot hole.

ZeldaLawliet ZeldaLawliet says...

There are a lot of differences between the two, there are also a few similarities. They both fight for what they love and believe in, although Fullmetal Alchemist is a little more serious, where Fairy Tail is more fun and easy-going.

cookiechan91 cookiechan91 says...

They both have very well thought out stories, also the animation and the characters are to die for. They both will give you so many feels. Fairy Tail and FMA:B are all about Family and Teamwork, plus a little (and I do mean little) romance as a bonus. I enjoyed both and have re-watched them, and will rewatch them over and over because they are that great.

If you like Fairy Tail or Naruto Shippuden, you'd enjoy the other because they are both fighting type anime while using Magic/Ninjutsu type attacks. You follow a cast of characters in both anime as they go through life and grow stronger both physically and personally. You will enjoy watching as they gain new powers and fight stronger opponents around every turn. I suggest you check both out!

varisk varisk says...

Shiraiyuki Shiraiyuki says...

Both Naruto Shippuden and Fairy tail focuse strongly in the concept of Nakama. To the character in Fairy tail and Naruto Shippuden,  their nakama are the most important thing to them and they will always protect them.In both there's a strong main character who can raise everyone's spirits everytime their depressed or put everyone laughting even when there's a disaster;they will always try to do things on their own so that they won't bother their nakama in the process.even if its in protecting the place they live in, a guild or a village, they will do anything to protect it becauseit's their sacred place.

The series is comedy/action/fantasy. It also is based on the premise of friendship and is relationship-driven. Both are very long series in which the main character continually has to face hurdles to meet the next challenge. Also, the protagonists of both series operate in groups to accomplish goals (ie: Naruto Shippuden and Team Kakashi and Fairy Tail has a team consisting of a handful of characters that take on quests together). Naruto and Salamandar both have similar personalities, also. Stubborn, persistent, and comical.
