Sakura Yashima, a rookie editor for a town information magazine, is put in charge of doing a special feature on Kamata - a regular on the magazine's "Ranking of Cities You Don't Want to Live In". Despite Kamata having many hidden gourmet restaurants aimed at foodies, the city's chaotic atmosphere makes it frequently become a hot topic on the news or in conversation. While relunctantly visiting the city, Sakura visits a rooftop amusement park called "Kamataen" in order to gather material... And while riding the Ferris wheel there, a strange light flashes and the entire city of Kamata is suddenly transported into another world! But despite finding themselves in this bizarre situation, the residents of Kamata seem to not pay it any mind...?!
