Both are ecchi comedies in a fantasy setting about a protag who is regarded as a hero in that world and the various goofy situations he gets into (mostly with female characters). Similar lighthearted/unserious atmosphere.

Both are shows in a fantasy setting with similarly goofy narrative and matching character archetypes/dynamics. Both likewise parody/reference other shows along the way. Both are mainly episodic with no real plot to speak of.
