Vampire Knight

Vampire Knight

Cross Academy is a school with a difference: in a unique and experimental setup designed by the headmaster, it has a Day Class consisting of ordinary humans and a Night Class filled with vampires. Yuki Cross and her friend Zero Kiryu are school prefects whose job it is to make sure the secret of the Night Class is always safe; they patrol the school grounds...

A lot like Earl and Fairy, Vampire Knight takes a recognisable legend and then puts it in a melodramatic shoujo format with lots of bishounen, pretty animation, and romance, romance, romance! The bonus of Vampire Knight is that it has a much better mystery, a much more anguished love triangle (you'll find it hard to choose between Zero and Kaname!), and there's a lot of nibbling on necks. If you really like Earl and Fairy, then Vampire Knight will be right up your alley.

To me the animation styles are very similar.  They both deal with noblity and a somewhat reluctanct romance. Both have supernatural themes as well.

KiraRin KiraRin says

If you have a penchant for beautiful bishounen and hapless female leads, then both Earl and Fairy and Vampire Knight will be for you. The two storylines are based in the supernatural, however the main focus is on the romance between the male and female leads.

If you dream about being swept off your feet by a handsome rogue, I highly recommend both of these shows to you.

Spice and Wolf

Spice and Wolf

Since long ago, the wolf goddess Holo has honored a contract to bless the rural village of Pasloe with fertile harvests; and in return she has been celebrated and worshipped by the villagers. But as mankind advances, the people have begun to take command of nature for themselves and have made their own god to worship. Holo finds that she is paid little more...

Both of these animes are Romances. Both of the animes revolves around spirits or Fairies. The Romance of the animes are more of spicey tang.

As in Spice and Wolf, Horo is the spirit and Lawrence is a helper. Horo needs to get to her homeland in the north thats a snow forest.

As in Earl and Fairy, Lydia the Fairy Doctor only sees the Fairies. Edgar is the man who follows her to get to the place he needs to get to, The sword that he needs.

For both of the animes, I'd Really say that this is a must for either of these animes.

Galadriel Galadriel says

both Hakushaku to Yousei and Spice and Wolf are nice, heartwarming romance series, both shows involve a couple which consists of a normal human and a female protagonist that is non-human (in Hakushaku to Yousei the girl is a fairy doctor while in Spice and Wolf the girl is a ancient wolf god). Also both animes are kinda set in a similar background, a medieval setting (though the setting in Hakushaku to Yousei seems to be abit more modern). If you liked one of this shows then be sure to check the other one as well.

I like to see older characters in anime - I get a little tired of the high school romances. These are both guilty pleasures of romance, characterization, and plot! Spice and Wolf fans will enjoy Ear and Fairy, and visa versa!

Ouran High School Host Club

Ouran High School Host Club

Ouran High is a school for the extremely wealthy or, in Haruhi's case, the extremely talented. But no amount of talent will help when Haruhi accidentally drops an eight million yen vase in a music room. The vase was the property of Ouran High School Host Club, a group of attractive young men who, for a fee, provide their time and affections for their lovesick...

Both anime are shojo romance with a reverse harem, a Victorian setting and a narcissistic blond romantic interest. Hakushaku to Yōsei is not quite as comedic as Ouran though- more drama.

KiraRin KiraRin says

Girls - if you like the idea of a group of handsome bishounen sweeping you off your feet, you will be more than spoilt for choice with Ouran and Earl + Fairy. With romantic moments that will have you melting, the denial of the female protagonist only encouraging the beautiful boys even further.

If you like the reverse harem and very sexy guys, I highly recommend both of these to you.

Galadriel Galadriel says

both Hakushaku to Yousei and Ouran High are reverse harem shows (shoujo romance), both of them are set in a modern, Victorian setting. Also both of them are pretty nice, heartwarming romances, though Ouran High has a way more developed comedy aspect than Hakushaku to Yousei. So if you liked one of this shows be sure to check the other one as well.
