Like Dramatical Murder, Togainu no Chi is about a man that gets himself into a life or death game. Also like Togainu no Chi it shows some Shounen-Ai.

stardrop stardrop says...

Both are by Nitro+CHIRAL, which is a company that produces BL games. The genres aren't similar, but if you're just looking for some shounen-ai, both of these shows have the same pace. DMMd may turn out to be better since TnC ended up not having any BL in it, so the plot in TnC was basically nothing.I'm writing this just as the first episode has come out of DMMd and haven't watched TnC in years.

These are both anime based on shounen-ai visual novels. However, if you're looking for shounen-ai content then both of these anime have been pretty well sanitized with only a few suggestive scenes to pay homage to their origins.

Instead, both show focus on their bishounen protagonist trying to get themselves out of a desperate situation they've been forced into. The settings and plots are both quite different, but if you enjoy watchin pretty boys stand and talk to each other without much story going on then these anime make a pretty good match. If watching bishie dance around their attraction to one another while making their way through a silly plot is appealing to you then try either of these show.

Togainu has slightly better animation and at least a few slick action scenes, whereas Dramatical is pretty poorly animated throughout. However, both shows have a similiar structure and there are plenty of bishies to go around.

DRAMAtical Murder is about the leaders of gangs trying to take down someone trying to rule the world. Akame ga Kill! is the same. A group of people work together to take down the bad guy who is using the king.

In Akame ga Kill!, you will learn about each characters past, just as you did in DRAMAtical Murder.

If you are looking for something a little more violent then DRAMAtical Murder, I think Akame ga Kill! is a perfect choice.

Both No.6 and DRAMAtical Murder are very soft shounen-ai animes. While the stories are very different, they both offer the same things in many ways. They are both sci fi animes and they deliver equally when it comes to the quality of the video and sound. Great animation. Nothing odd or bad about it, in my opinion. In general, I only watch shounen-ai animes where the shounen-ai genre is in the center, but both these animes deliver in the ways of friendship and sci fi that compensate for the lack of shounen-ai(even if they both pass as shounen-ai animes).

soleilsun soleilsun says...

- both of these animes take place in a sci-fi setting

- both have shonuen ai undertones

It's got stupid boys and boy love. No. 6 is gayer than DMMD though if that's what you are looking for. Both are also set in a techno-future setting. Noiz and Nezumi remind me a lot of one another.

Banana Fish

Both are shows that center around Gang fights, and gang violence, where members from the gangs soon team up to fight a bigger power, which has the MCs tied around their fingers. These are also both shows that have main characters that are theorized to be gay, and they are also both shows that have endings that make the viewer go "huh?".

savav savav says...

Both are gay(ish) and about gangs with naive main characters. Banana Fish made me sad though (which is why I haven't finished it yet :/ ). I really liked both and they are both a little confusing because important information is being withheld from the viewer and the main character.

Two of my top most favourite, most high-quality anime ith fantastic plotts, deep chars, eyecandy art and catchy music, revolving aroug crime, conspiracies, violence, human trafficig and friendship,  that are so much more then the simple ol' BL romance, that you could find i heaps, hile these really mean something, are unique, addicting, unforgetable, both are definitive orth atching, eve for non-BL fans, yet both definitely need a trigger-warnig for rape, because even if the act itself is not shown with the physically necesssary parts on screen, it's rather heaviy implied, especially to very graphical depictions of the violence happening before and after, so if you're sensitive to that, be careful about Banana-Fish in general, and leave out the  one OVA/extra EP of Dmmd, hich is no problem, as it's not really much relevant to the main story of the anime, being restricted to the Bad Endings of the Visual Novel, that is the original basis for Dmmd. Still both are great bitterseet, dramatic works deserving recignitions fro BL lovers and haters alike.

But now, one of the Red King's vassals has been murdered, and a viral video shows the killer's confession at the scene. He is even sought by Kuroh Yatogami, a knight of the former Colorless King sworn to slay any unworthy successor. Only, the subject of their struggle, "Shiro", is a nondescript young man living an unremarkable life in an island academy, and seems to have no recollection of killing anyone. To keep his life, Shiro must prove his innocence; but what is the truth behind his mysterious past, and what will be the outcome of this confrontation of Kings?

In both of these anime, you have: gangs, weird sexual tension, fights using special powers, various boys running amuck, and a main character with memory issues. So, if you liked one, you may like the other.

savav savav says...

Both of these animes are about boys with memory issues. Both guys are also wanted by every person they come across, but for very different reasons. Everyone loves Aoba (DMMD) and everyone wants to kill Shiro (K). Both animes are also about gangs, idiot boys, and fights using powers (kinda).

Personally, I liked Dramatical Murder better because it was less confusing, but K was pretty good.

Both take place in a type of modern tech pop setting with very similar aesthetics. One is BL bait and one is actual BL. (If you're new to DMMd and 18+, don't watch the anime, play the game or watch a walkthrough on YT.)

Kari5 Kari5 says...

Both of these shows take place in an alternative future and focus on groups of pretty boys. They are based off video games, and while they lack much of a plot, if you liked one I think you'd really enjoy the other.

Both of these anime are obviously based off some sort of dating simulations games because while they have great character design, the plot is highly lacking. However, if you like groups of hot guys fighting for the attention of the main character, both of these series are definitely for you!

This anime is more like the Rhyme game part of Dramatical Murder but more deathy and bloody and violent. they both have main characters that are nieve to their own abilities and the fact that they aren't alone. Though they both take place in diffrent "comunities" so to say, platnum jail is a similar kinder, in a way, version of the actual prizion they call Deadman Wonderland. All in all its a more violent version of a similar show.

Dimension W

Dimension W

In the year 2071, the world's energy problems seem solved by a network of cross-dimensional electric-field inductors- "coils" -that extract energy from a seemingly infinite source. That source is the W dimension, a fourth plane that exists beyond the X, Y, and Z dimensions. In this world, unofficial "illegal" coils harness powers that the police can't hope to counter. Dealing with these coils is the job of coil-hating repo man Kyoma, whose run-in with the unique coil android Mira leads the two to form a reluctant partnership.

I think these two shows would appeal to the same audience. While Dramatical murder's setting is cyberpunk, and Ayaka's is more chill on some Japanese islands, what these shows are full of is pretty boys! If you're here for the guys, and not the plot, these shows are for you!
