Sent to Japan to learn about strength, he encounters a female. What’s gonna happen?

Pretty dang predictable stuff:

Father expectations aren’t in line with his child’s.

Typical girl-guy meet; girl’s being harassed, guy steps in.

Childhood friend kept an important secret.

Monologuing villain.

Parental infidelity leads to mentally unstable offspring.

Whenever a character cries they get comforted.

Fuyuka {girl} viewed as a burden and is constantly needing rescue.

Fei Long talks to Sugiura [Protagonist listens to antagonist share their sorrow-story]

Fei Long kills someone by accident.

Problem:

Vocal background music, it’s meant to accent what the characters are doing so having it barely audible is a poor choice.

*Lyrics on screen with translation = good choice.

**Lyrics themself are good and the melody/instrumental accompaniments works well.

Overall there are a lot of unlikeable things about this 40 minute OVA and it was probably made to get people interested in the manga. Since there are 14 volumes there’s gotta be a lot more story to sink one’s teeth into. Unless it was intended to quickly summaries the manga and give the fans something moving to look at.
