Dororo Pilot - Reviews

Two characters find themselves traveling together in a world plagued by demons/devils.

Hyakkimaru is a cursed child who regains his humanity as he slays foes.

Dororo is a child Hyakkimaru inadvertently saves and decides to follow Hyakkimaru on his journey.

As a pilot this is a decent and even fair representation of what viewers can expect from future episodes.

The narration tells a bit of the backstory without giving everything away, though the translation [English subtitles] could have been proofread a few more times.

There is an odd choice with blood in in this anime that make it less enjoyable.

When Hyakkimaru slashes some human foes a different color of blood is created [green, orange, blue etc.] but when a canine is slain its’ blood is red. It’s unclear why this is.

Overall this anime is for those who have some time on their hands and/or for those who like origin stories.
