Dirty Pair - Videos

Eisodic format, bounty hutners/"problem solvers" with a penchant for reckless behaviour and whose missions often end in destruction of some sort, lots of action of the gunslinger and martial arts variety and a sci-fi setting that features interplanetary travels. If these are things that interested you in either of these series I suggest that you check out the other.

These are both loving Japanese tributes to western science fiction. Both series are filled with references to classic science fiction. They're fun, action packed and the space settings allow for a variety of story types. They're both about reckless space bounty hunters that get into different situations each episode usually ending with lots of explosions. 

The episodic format of the Dirty Pair as well as the space setting may intrigue you to note that Cowboy Bebop shares these characteristics along with a few quirky characters, a similar runtime, and some similar aesthetics, but those expecting Dirty Pair's same jovial energy may feel differently about bebop's melancholy tone. If you like dirty pair, you may like cowboy bebop, and the other way around.
