Interlude is definitely newer and snazzier, but both Interlude and Megami Tensei OVA have very interesting plot similarities, as well as the horror aspect that is prevalent in both. I definitely had the same sort of "wow, this is messed up" feeling when watching both of these, which is why I chose to make this recommendation. Admittedly, I liked Interlude a whole lot more than Megami Tensei, but if you liked one, you might enjoy the other regardless.

Dark Cat

Dark Cat

When evil overtakes the heart of man, it destroys his soul, changing him into a hideous creature of flesh and darkness. And where there is evil, there are Hyoi and Ryoi Kagezaki, humans who can morph into cats, known as the Dark Cats. In the present, a great evil is manifesting in a local high school, leading Ryoi and Hyoi to enroll and investigate. But the source of the evil may not be who they might normally suspect, and the consequences of the discovery may very well be deadly...

While Dark Cat and Megami Tensei OVA might appear to have nothing in common, both have a horror aspect to them that feels similar, thus making me think you'd like one if you liked the other. Unlike some horror series that are fairly generic and silly, both of these have an interesting premise, even if I did like Dark Cat a lot more than Megami Tensei OVA. Try it out.

Along with Takehiko Kuki and Marika Kusaka, spiritual ninjas that have spanned centuries protecting the gods, one man must fight to stop the evil god from resurrecting, before it's too late...

Now, I know I normally shouldn't recommend related series, but these are only very, very, very loosely related (same universe), and had I not known they were related I still would have made this rec. Quite frankly, if you enjoyed the demon/horror concept of one, you'd surely like the other. Both have a remarkably similar feel, even for being made years apart, and in general I just think you'd like it.

Call me crazy, but even though 3x3 Eyes is nothing like Megami Tensei OVA, I think you'd appreciate it if you liked MT. The horror aspect is great, the story interesting, and the animation a lot better. If you liked MT, why not check this out?
