From the start of this series I was able to tell that the storyline was going to be decent and interesting. It didn't give me any wierd vibes or sense of boredom. To me a good anime has to be able to grab you from the start, this one did just that.

By the time I reached episode 10 I was fully engrossed in this anime and spent my whole time telling myself "why does the week never go by fast enough!!" Each new episode release had me reacting like a 5 years old entering a candy store for the very first time!

Now that all episodes are out and this series is completed I can safely admit that I've watched it maybe 5x already and each time its just as amazing, funny, entertaining as it was the first time. The amount of action, plot twist, and sarcasm/ humor is just perfect.

The relashionship between Kanda and Allen is hilarious, thank god Levi and Lenalee are there to help smooth the situation...sometimes. Have to say those where the best moments. Although the action in this anime is no let down either! It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

in conclusion, this is a strong recomend to anyone who loves a anime full packed of action, humor and has a great story line.

P.S I had a very fan girly moment when I found out they that a second series D.Gray-man Hallow..... OMG! lol.

So, I just finished all of D.Gray Man and I must say I was quite impressed.  The first few episodes were a bit strange as Allen was traveling to the Black Order and meating all of his new colleagues and what exactly their sole purpose was. However, over time the series evolved into a great one.

The character development grew on all sides of each character throughout the series. Especially, LenaLee, Allen and Lavi.  Kanda, eh, not much to learn about him other than his healing ability.  The Generals, other than Cross were kind of dull.  But otherwise, I liked each character.

I thought the animation was very good. The fights with the Noah and each demon were all pretty cool.  Plus, I won't deny the fact I thought LenaLee was pretty.

The music to each season's opening and closing was really good.  The instrumental during each episode got a little redundant as times, but I was satisfied.

The story and about half way through it after understanding the purpose of each character, their primary mission it all came together when they were assigned to find Marshall Cross in China.  That's when things started becoming really intense.

Overall, I rank D.Gray Man as one of my top 10 favorite animes now.  I think it's a great series for any anime fan of Dragonball Z, Black Lagoon, Outlaw Star, and just all in all a good series.

Positive: Great story that really draws you in.  You can also really get attached to the characters.

Negatives: fillers.  Allen a little over powered

Out off all the animes ive watched this is my top 5.  They had a great story line that really gets the viewer into the series.  I did have a problem with some of the fillers though but sometimes i didnt even notice them until a friend told me they were.  They battles that took place were very interesting.  I didn't really like how powerful Allen was.  His 'weapon' had the ability to change its form into diffrent types but no other person could do that, if it was a sword it was a sword but with Allen it was a sword, a gun, and a giant hand.  I didnt like that they cut the series sort and didnt finish the story line they were running which upset me very much.  The just all of a sudden stop making more shows.  They do continue the manga though so if you really want you could get the end of the story.

What can I say this is the type of anime that has great potential but never succeeds in achieveing its promise. First I wanted to mantion that I know that the anime/manga isn't finished.

The beggining starts out great introducing the different charactors sych as the Millenium Earl and Allen Walker. The atmosphere is also great if you are into more darker shounen titles. And then everything falls short. There is barely any story and it looks like the mangaka of the magna which the anime is based on used a basic design for all the missions ( pick a group of exorcists that travels to a place and fights a random or unbeatable akuma/Noah and then go back to the headquarters).

I had high hopes for the anime and manga but was dissappointet by feeling the mangaka didnt know how to progress the story very well and the only thing that made this piece some what appealing was the great ideas he had in the beggining and the design of the characters
