First of all, Collette looks exsctly like Zero Two. Secondly they have a similar thing of a male/female pair to power a weapon. For takt.op Destiny the male conductor must direct the female musicart as a weapon to defeat the D2s, in Darling in the Franxx the male driver of the weapon must work together with the female driver to control the robot. Im very bad at explaining but they are definitly very similar and if you liked either one, go watch the other.

I don't really know why but Destiny and Zero Two are a bit similar. Actually not just a bit, both have this non-human feeling. I mean they are sort of aliens or at least something in that way.
