If you enjoyed watching the first series of danganronpa expect something similar for this new anime. I personally find mirai nikki or future diary very similar, since both are about survival and kind of gory animes. Also in both animes the characters are very likable.

Both animes are about high stakes games where the players are forced to kill each other in a remote place with no option for escape except being the last one left alive. All the players have their own psychological issues going on. Btooom! is for slightly more mature audiences though due to violence, gaphic, and adult content where Danganronpa doesn't get quite so heavy or graphic and keeps things lighter with the theme of hope will perservere.
