Winter of 2117. A vehicle out of control crashes in front of the Public Safety Bureau’s building. The driver is Yasaka Izumi, a psychological counselor at the isolation facility for latent criminals in Aomori prefecture, the Sanctuary. However, Yasaka immediate repatriation is decided right before her interrogation. The inspector Shimotsuki Mika heads for Aomori prefecture to bring back Yasaka, along with the enforcer Ginoza Nobuchika. What is waiting for them in that place is a “False paradise”.

Okinawa, summer of 2112 before Tsunemori Akane is assigned to Division 1 of the Public Safety Bureau Criminal Investigation Department. Three months later, a case where an unmanned armed drone attacks Tokyo and the Ministry of Defense begins. In order to investigate the case, Masaoka Tomomi, enforcer at the Criminal Investigation Department’s Division 1 who went to the National Defense military base, comes near the truth behind the case with Sugou.

In a futuristic Japan, the Sibyl System is charged with keeping the peace. Confident with the success of the System within their own borders, the Japanese government has begun to export the technology to other countries, planning to ultimately spread the System across the globe. When the state of SEAUn brings the Sibyl System in to test its effectiveness, it becomes a haven of peace and safety—for a time. Eventually, terrorists from SEAUn begin appearing in Japan, somehow slipping through the System’s security and attacking from within. Desperate for answers, Inspector Akane Tsunemori is sent overseas to bring the terrorists to justice. But when her investigation forces her into a standoff with an old ally, will she be able to pull the trigger?

At the end of the 21st century, humans have made great advancements in technology and were able to create a giant energy source to power that technology. However, this new source of energy overloaded and turned into a more devastating force than nuclear weapons. The catastrophe wiped out the majority of human civilization and those who survived lived in terror of the anarchy that took over. Hagakure Kakugo comes from a secret family that has protected people for generations from powerful organizations and evil from taking over. They are only awoken in time of need and it has been decades since Kakugo was conscious. His body had been heavily modified by fusing it with metals to enhance both his offense and defense. He uses an armor called the Exoskull that attaches to him to greatly boost his already superhuman power. Thus begins a story about a young man and his armor’s journey through hell.

On October 15th, 1990, World War III breaks out. Earth was cloaked in a nuclear winter lasting for 6 months, and all the grain plants died. Each government fell into anarchy, and transport and communication networks could not be restored easily. Soon, new states were declared by the citizens in various areas. The story is set in 2021, 31 years after World War III. Filicia Epstein, a bionics genius, came to Sabano and Sergent Mutou was ordered to protect her. Searching for her only brother, Lyon, Filicia encountered 1019, a cybernoid, who directed them to the phantom city, OZ, a shelter created by Lyon. As the story unfolds, they gradually realised what 'OZ' actually was...
