Buying anime DVDs can sometimes bring you some unique surprises. Da Capo proves this with this very unique DVD Special in the form of a "puppet show" of sorts (with the lack of a better term) consisting of 7 episodes with a runtime of around 7-10 minutes each. Things turn around a bit on the seventh episode though where the "puppet show" is replaced with live action performers wearing signs representing the characters they're playing.
There isn't really a plot to these specials that contribute to the main series. Every episode has their own short story.
Since these specials mostly consists of the "puppet shows" there isn't really much actual animation going on but I'm scoring the animation part based on visuals in general.
Even though these speials aren't really high in production value the voices of the characters are still industy quality. Some sound effects are also featured from time to time that helps give some immersion into what's going on.
There isn't much to be said about the characters since no new character development is introduced in these specials.
Overall I'd say that you aren't really missing out on anything by skipping over these specials. They aren't meant to be taken seriously and are mostly just the studio members messing around.
