in both animes they create weapons with human form to make them fight and they can't have normal life because of this. Action, friendship, drama, you may like one if you liked the other one, but avoid elfen lied if you don't like gore.

Secret lab experiments, girls with mysterious powers, a group of young people (and pets) trying to solve the mystery behind it all, if you liked that about CB, check out EF and vice versa.

Scientific experiments and girls being turned into fighting machines, those are the two characteristics of Elfen Lied and Crystal Blaze.  Tragedy unfolds as the dramatic lives of everyone in question is suddenly challenged.  While Elfin Lied is more gory, both series are full of unshaken relationships against overwhelming odds.

There's not a great simmililarity beetween the two animes But there are characters that have the same personalities: The calm child, the young girl or boy who is always regretting not being able to protect others and wants to be useful, The growed up man without feelings at first sight, etc... They both have great action and mistery, always hiding the characters past and goes uncovering it through the series which makes it more interesting.

So yeah, I think you will like one if you liked the other.

Crystal Blaze and Blood + have characters with the same personalities with plenty of action and mystery.

Red Garden

Red Garden

Four students of the same age have nothing in common except that they attend the same elite New York City school. Kate, Rose, Clare and Rachel all belong to different cliques and hardly notice each other's existence. Then one day they gain something in common, something very important, something mysterious. They find themselves drawn together by the death of a fellow student and the secret of their own missing memories. Suddenly they are thrown into a world of hidden warfare on the city streets and are caught up in secrets which would not be believed by others. These four all have their own problems to struggle with, things that seem more important than such strange conflicts. Can they escape from this fate? The only thing they know is that despite coming from four different worlds they now have to rely on each other or die without a hope.

Both are about a group of women with mysterious powers, forced to fight against their will, and trying to overcome the past.  The feel of both of these series is that of a stab at noir, with limited success.  The main reason the two series remind me of each other, however, is the jazzy soundtrack, so if you liked one or the other, check the other one out!

RIN: Daughters of Mnemosyne

RIN: Daughters of Mnemosyne

Rin is a private investigator with an advantage: near immortality. Thanks to the spores of the Yggdrasill tree, both she and her assistant Mimi have lived many years longer than the average person. That isn’t to say that being immortal doesn't have its problems. With 'angels' wanting to devour them, the being Apos sending wave after wave of professional assassins to kill them, and constant hangovers from long nights of drinking, being immortal still has its downsides. With Apos' attempts at removing them from the picture increasing, can Rin and Mimi figure out what he is after so they can return to their morning shots of Vodka?

Both Glass Maiden and Mnemosyne are about women fighting with their lives.  Both of the female protagonists feature strange abilities making them targets for just about everyone.  Each show also has a unforgettable heart breaking story to behold.
