Hoshi no Koe and Seikai no Danshou are both short, touching stories - focused as much on the relationships between the male and female leads as their interstellar backdrop. While the animation is rather different, both have an interest in experimenting, and you should enjoy their thoughtful tone.
This set of 3 fantastic stories will take you from the haunting delusions of a space explorer, to a bio-chemical threat with the power to wipe out all of Tokyo, and finally to a day in the life of a young boy who lives in a world ruled by cannons. These stores will capture you with their intriguing storylines and awe inspiring artwork.

Seikai no Danshou and the first story of Memories are both eerie tales of exploring vast, abandoned spaceships. While these are only a small part of the larger whole - Memories has another two unrelated stories, and Danshou is a small fragment of an epic space opera - the similar feel means you are bound to enjoy at least these sections.
It is the year 2124, and the crew of a medical transport ship are carrying dangerous cargo to its destination. The contents, though mostly unknown, are rumored to be viral in nature, and must not be let out under any circumstances. But when a leak occurs, the ship, as well as the crew, is at risk of being destroyed. With only two robotic space suits and limited ammo, can they escape in time, or are their fates sealed?

The fully cg animation and fast paced action of Archetypes Forces makes an interesting contrast with the experimental style and strong characterisation of Seikai no Danshou, in light of their similar spaceship setting. While both have an interest in telling a less than straightforward story, I'll leave you to decide which you think is more enjoyable.
