Their daily activities include holding impromptu cosplay photo shoots, braving the crowds and avoiding injury at doujinshi conventions, and tolerating harassment by Saki, a girl irked by her boyfriend's otaku-ness! It's a perfect match for Sasahara's interests, so why is it so difficult for him to join?

While Cosplay Complex centers on cosplay, dressing like anime characters, Genshiken is centered on everything otakus do but it also has a lot about cosplay, if you like otaku things and specially cosplay you will like these two series.

Both these shows focus on otaku and their love and dedicated for their hobbies, and the extremes they'll go to. Cosplay is the main focus of CC, but Genshiken has two characters who are very interested in cosplay.

Comic Party

Both Comic Party and Cosplay Complex focus on aspects of Otaku culture. While one focuses on doujinshi and the other on cosplaying, both series approach the subject matter in a similar way. Both have a reasonable amount of comedy to them and are fairly light hearted. If you like one then try the other.

in the same vein as each other, and you will likely get the same feeling from watching both titles. otakus ftw!

In both series there is a small woman which plays an important part in the series. Though while in Cosplay Complex this one plays alot less significant role, in Hand Maid May that small character is quit eimportant. Hell.. they even name the series to it. Still due quite some fanservice in both series and a somewhat similar atmosphere in both series, I'd advice this to people who like this sort of series. (Note: Hand Maid May is a romance story, while Cosplay COmplex is just plain ecchi comedy.)

Arcade Gamer Fubuki

In both series it seem that the main events are based on two female figures and the constant rivalry between them. In addition in both series some sort of public match stand central. As a last point: both contain fanservice and in the case of Cosplay Complex just plain ecchiness. (Note: While the atmosphere and the ubild up of the series is the same, the plot ISN'T)

Nurse Witch Komugi

Nurse Witch and Cosplay Complex both have stories that revolve around cosplay. Both the main characters aspire to be great cosplayers. Humor plays a major role in both anime and delivers without fail.

Nurse Witch has a bit more of a storyline but Cosplay Complex has more ecchi... it's a perfect trade-off!

Lucky Star

Lucky Star

In present day Japan, the life of a school girl is never dull. The easily-bored Konata never finds time to study because of her otaku habits, which frustrates hard-working Kagami to no end. On the other hand, laid-back Tsukasa always manages to go with the flow, while Miyuki is concerned with keeping her status as resident know-it-all. Join these four girls as they muse and meander their way through everyday events such as eating chocolate cones, doing homework, gaming, and trips to the beach galore.

Fans of these shows will most likely like the other because of their focus on otaku culture. One focuses mostly on cosplay, but there is also cosplay in Lucky Star. Basicly, these shows show how dedicated otaku are to their hobby.

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu

Yuuto Ayase is not interested in girls - if his two housemates are anything to go by, girls are loud, brazen slobs that are best left alone. However, when Yuuto accidentally discovers an important secret of his school’s most popular female, Haruka Nogizaka, the two become bound in a budding friendship. All too soon, Yuuto discovers that, despite her flawless appearance, Haruka is clumsy, naive, and a closet otaku... and he just might be falling for her.

With Yuuto’s wild, drunken housemates gatecrashing their trip to a hot springs resort, and Haruka’s sister and maid team concocting various schemes to allow the pair to spend time together, nothing is ever straightforward. While Yuuto does all in his power to make Haruka happy, including working as butler for the tyrannical Touka and pulling an all-nighter to help her finish her first doujinshi, he is unsure as to how the school beauty feels about him.
