Upon the conclusion of the Vanguard High School Koshien, Kouji Ibuki begins to have new nightmares. Nome Tatsunagi has Suiko summon him to the mansion where they learn he can see a Dark Tower called Sanctuary. Sanctuary is causing the timeline to be altered throughout history, and the only way to correct it is for Kouji to first correct his future mistake. Now Kouji and Suiko must travel the parallel world -if- and watch as Magical Girls Emi Sendou and Shuka summon Vanguard units to help correct history. Sadly the two can't help much as Cardfighting against real monsters doesn't do much good.

Team TRY3: Chrono, Shion, and Tokoha, managed to win the championship of Generation Quest. In the mean time, however, Ryuzu Myoujin has a secret plan: summoning Zodiac Time Beasts of Gear Chronicle clan to Earth. Chrono and kouji want to stop Ryuzu, but they are confronted by a mysterious group of cardfighters known as "Company" who share Ryuzu's ideology.

Vanguard G Stride Gate arc, members of Team TRY3, Chrono Shindou, Shion Kiba and Tokoha Anjou will be moving forward to their respective high schools. Each member will be forming their own team in a bid to decide their own future. The three protagonists are set to clash as rivals in the upcoming large-scale tournament titled U20 Championship.

Whoever loses against a Link Joker deck forfeits their soul and battles for the enemy, and the sinister beings have set their sights on Aichi, Kai, and other strong competitors to meet their goal...
