Daisuke is in a funk. He is attending art school with his childhood friend Amane and is very popular amongst the subjects of his portraits, but lately he has been feeling self conscious and isn’t as interested in drawing. An upcoming art competition, however, will decide who receives a scholarship to a prestigious academy, which places a lot of pressure on Daisuke. In addition, his first love has just moved in next door and has become his teacher. Can Daisuke find his muse in time for the contest, so he can finally fulfill his childhood dream?
I suppose this anime was decent at best. I didn't really expect much out of 2 episodes, so I guess it did exceed my expectations. The story was rushed, but I guess that's to be expected. The art and animation were also very poor, but you can't really expect more from low-budget OVAs. The characters had a surprising amount of depth to them. They acted in ways that really exceeded my expectations. They actually had deep and complex emotions, unlike you ordinary OVA character, so I came away impressed by that. Overall, it wasn't a total waste of time to watch this series, but it wasn't a life-changing experience either. I would recommend it to anyone who has seen Canvas 2 or has little time and wants to watch a quick romance. Beware, this show does contain a small amount of hentai, but there is worse out there. If you have some time to kill with nothing better to do, try this show.
