They're basically the same thing. Little fanservice looking toy robot girls fighting each other. You like one, you'll like the other.

It's almost the same story-line. The biggest difference is that Frame Arms Girl is more about the battles and Busou Shinki is more about daily life. If you liked one, then you'll like the other.

Both shows are about a normal human male who has tiny robot ladies helping him out with everyday life for some reason. Hand Maid May just has one little lady for the male lead where Busou Shinki's male lead has a whole harem full of little gals. That's all you really need to know. Check them out if you like this sort of thing.

With these two anime's they both are very similar yet very diffrent at the same time as they are both about dolls/androids in which their purpose is to fight. however in angelic layer the story line is based on the owner of the dolls and in busou shinki it is based on the dolls point of view.

If you can watch a full anime series without getting annoyed by all the high-pitched, cutesy female voices, then these two shows are probably worth your time. Both feature a main male character surrounded by a set of little dolls with big personalities. Rozen Maiden is much heavier on the social issues and character development, while Busou Shinki is fluffy slice-of-life. If you ever wanted your own personal mini android or living doll, then these two series are right up your alley.

Both amount to what they are at the core: Cute girls, doing cute things. One shows girls are magic, the others are robots, but they're fundamentally the same, and that's what makes them good shows to watch if you liked one of them.
