The series follows a group of historic writers (all based on real people) who use their special abilities to rescue books that have been cursed by the “Taints,” an evil force. While its premise is fantastical, the series’ core focus will be on its characters, some of whom you may recognize, including Ryunosuke Akutagawa and H.P. Lovecraft.
This anime is a very good starter for people who want to read actual Japaneese authors that are worth time and effort. Also , this anime has real facts about real writers' lives and struggles in their career. I liked the story a lot , even though on episode 7-8 I wanter to drop it. A little effort to keep watching actually helped me see the nice finale that anime brought to us.I rated everything else an 8 , and only the story a 10 , because everything else about this anime was mediocre and simply something any series has. I wanted to rate the sound and music even lower because the opening destroys my view about the seriosity of the story and it makes it sound like a K-pop band with a lot of boys and cheap music. The sound in anime itself was not bad , so I left the mark - 8. My overal point is over 9 just because I actually googled a lot of writers' lives and their art after watching this anime , and I am deffinetly going to read some classical Japaneese literature.
This anime was super cool. Too bad it wasn't much popular, but hope gets super hit soon. The art was absolutely perfect.! I love love it!! I want another season (even if it is absurd) >-< The story was a bit hard to understand and people might have too doubts.. haha i'm talking about me. I would be glad to know if there comes a sequel or a similar anime to this. Pretty lovable.
