Story: This was very reminiscent of the bount arc in bleach to me. The illogical decisions that were made baffled me throughout this OVA which include: Renji using a human gun on a Baishin, the Soul Society's decision to send 5 captains and Soifon out to fight this guy, the captains decide to fight hollows while letting Rukia, Renji, and Ichigo battle Baishin, and then the explanations at the end. Those were just a few of parts that made me angry. However, there was lots of comedy including the special ending which I loved. So all of it wasn't a fail but a majority of it was.

Animation: Animation was identical to the anime which disappointed me a bit. I expected a little bit better quality since it was an OVA but it seemed the same. I did mention this already but I loved the ending where all the characters were in human clothes.

Sound: Same bleach soundtrack which I love except for that one choir song where it goes: "If you want to see some action.....". It was played twice to my dismay but the rest of the soundtrack was good.

Characters: The characters were basically themselves but I felt little development from the villian. I didn't know or care too much about him. It probably confused me because the version I watched kept referring to a zanpakuto as a soul slayer. However, I do love my Bleach cast and they do deliver.

Overall: If you love Bleach and don't mind watching the awful filler arcs within the anime, you'll probably enjoy this. If you, like me, love Bleach without the fillers, you probably won't like this. It's good for a bored day but you could probably find something better to watch. I would recommend watching the beginning before the fighting starts and then the ending. That way you'll get the best parts without watching the crap :)
