If you haven't seen Black Butler 1, I advise you to see it before you see this one( if your the type of person to not watch animes in chronological order. In Black Butler 1, Ciel Phantomhive made a deal with a demon to eat his soul, in return the demon had to play butler and help him get revenge. The reason there was a continuation was because the demon, Sebastian, was unable to eat his soul, due to the fact that he lost the seal(his arm) in battle. Black Butler 2 talks about a boy with a similar case to Ciel, however, his demon wanted no part of him when he realized his soul was tainted(the boy loved the demon).BB2 was at first confusing because they never announced that Ciel had amnesia in the first place. The plot twist at the end was very deceving, but was really interesting at the same time. I can't tell if Hannah was a dynamic character or not. They made her seem really dense at first but her alterior motive was great! If you love demons and drama, you would adore Black Butler 1 and 2 all together. There is a bit of nudity(but somewhat censored). The grim reaper sure releaves some of the drama, but he does play an important role.

A disappointment

While I loved Kuroshitsuji as an ill-dressed, unhygenic "proud otaku" in my middle school days, I can safely say that even years later, I still can't see this installation into the Kuroshitsuji series with any redeamable qualities. Given that it was written at the last minute due to the fans going ape shit over realizing that Ciel would not be in the original script, I can't say I'm surprised at how convoluted this became. The new characters are by far the biggest dissappintment, it was hard to sympathize with them and some acted so out of place I often forgot I was watching a historical fiction. The whole plot felt so garish and serpentine that I often felt that there was no real reason any of the events had to happen. Thank God for A-1 Pictures and contribution to bringing the actual manga material to fruition, with much more well organized and less confusing plot.

Amazing! Black Butler was amazing, and season two made it even better. I don't know why some people dislike the fact that there is a second season....you liked the anime right? Or were You sick of it? You don't have to watch the second season You know...

Sure season 1 ended perfectly everyone got what they wanted, you make a deal keep your end of the bargian, but season 2 didn't ruin it. Look at it as a plot twist [which is exactly what it is] and not and introduction to an evil insane crappy new character.

Plus I personally am a huge fan of alois and think he's an amazing character. ^^

Well, honestly, this anime really didn't have the same essence as the first season of kuroshitsuji and if I'm being completely honest, the only episodes that I really enjoyed of this season were the last two. Saying that however, the first season of kuroshitsuji left me with higher expectations for the second season and so, it is quite likely that this is the reason for this less than great review. This season focus' still on Ciel and Sebastian but introduces two new character, Claude and Alois Trancy. After having completed his goals in the first season, it is assumed that Sebastian devours Ceil's soul but, this is not the case as Ceil's soul was stolen by Claude and so, Sebastian and Ceil return to the realm of the living with one minor hitch, Ceil has lost all of his memories regarding Angela Blanc, the Queen and the time of which he was seeking his revenge. Kuroshitsuji 2 isn't bad by any means but, after watching the first season of kuroshitsuji it is plausible that this second season will leave you disappointed. It's as if this season is a desperate attempt to continue a popular series but it isn't as well thought out as the first season. Not comparing it to the first season, kuroshitsuji 2 is quite good with a fairly generic plot of getting revenge and the introduction of yet another demon and another boy with a tainted past is also equally interesting but really, considered on its own, it is basically an average anime.

THIS SECOND SEASON IS PERFECT!

I got shocked with everything that had happened. THE TWISTS WERE SO BOOM-ing!!! And all the characters here are AWESOME!!!

Ughh! While watching, there's this guy there that wears his eye glasses so I always say, "Please, you're more handsome without those glasses!" #fangirling ^______^

I want to bang my head in the wall with all the confussions! BUT AFTER FINISHING IT, I was like, "Ooooh! Aaaaahh!~" like that. The twists are so PERFECT. That moment when your mouth will just hang open. I love this anime!

Must-watch! ENJOY! I hope my review helped! :)))
