BanG Dream! has essentially the same plot as K-On!: five girls starting high school and getting together to form a rock band.

Bang Dream! is honestly the same storyline and setting as K-On. Both feature the MC knowing nothing about music or how to play any musical piece and it just so happens they find a intrest in the music club and start to form a band.

If you enjoyed K-On, I would see no reason why you would not like Bang Dream.

they both have there own composed music, i like them both since the story is about there band, they both shown the story progression of how they where form to  a band then to perform on a livehouse/concert. on bang dream game bangdream  made covers of them (pls dont say lazy cv afterglow) (gogo maniac cv hello happy world). so i would like you to reccomend if u like k on then u probably wanna try watching bangdream either side if u like bang dream you'd probably wanna try check out K-on!

Some similarities are that the characters are both in high school and are in bands! It's based on a mobile game by the same name and it's really fun!

Both K-ON! and BanG Dream! feature lovable, moe band girls that would like to become successful, and both of them feature good rock music.  K-ON! is more about the slice of life that the band members get to drink their tea and eat their sweets, which is why their band is called Ho-kago Tea Time.  BanG Dream! is more about having pumped up, exciting concerts by the time the girls have formed their bands, and it features different bands like the sweet, happy-go-lucky Poppin' Party and the cool, gothic style Roselia.

I personally like BanG Dream! better, because it features band girls with a variety of different, yet memorable personalities, although K-ON! also has a likable cast as well.  My favorite girl in BanG Dream! is Saaya Yamabuki, who is the drummer that also works in her bakery.  She is a very laid-back, humble girl who's pretty much the most normal member in Poppin' Party, and I like her character development during the season 1 anime.  Not to mention that I really like her ponytail, as well as her cute voice.

Both animes are about a group of girls starting a band! They're both extremely cute and are slice of life animes great for anyone who likes music anime!

Both are music anime with little to no fanservice, and can be enjoyed by any age.

Both involve a group of girls in a band who tend to play music within the rock genre, (With some exceptions from time to time).

So if you don't care for the typical idol anime involving J-Pop, or you just want to try something different, these would both be great for you.

Of corse if you enjoy one of these shows, give the other a chance.

Both are anime about girls' band. Both band (Afterschool Teatime and Poppin' Party) have almost the same characteristic

I have watched a few episodes of BanG and watched all of K-on. Thy are both about A Girl band, playing music. They only differnce though is K-on is more focused around high school girls in a high school band becoming world wide popular. BanG Dream! is about A girl who always wanted to learn to play guitar. She makes a band and becomes a Girl band that spreads worldwide.

Music anime both centered around cute girls coming together through music. The main bands have similar sounds and some of the main characters are also very similar.

Past the surface connection of being idol-anime, both shows are about overcoming obstacles to unite vastly different people into bands thus bringing joy and unity to themselves and all the other people in their lives.

Both are music anime featuring several different groups of characters that go to an all girl school. They also have a mobile game to acomplany the series.

In the case of later entries in BanG Dream, they both use CG models.

If you like one, you would probably enjoy the other.

Both anime on girls playing music. However, bang dream is more towards band and singing while love live is towards singing and dancing.
