The animation stayed similar to the series, so it didn't really feel like a seperate work.
The story was once again AMAZING.
Characters stayed consistent and we got to see what we should expect from the future if they decide to make a season 2.
On that note... PLEASE MAKE SEASON 2.

It is probibly one of the first sports anime which actualy let the 3rd years go by the end of like one and a half season (counting by time).
