There are alot of similarities between Attack on Titan and Tokyo Ghoul including the idea that humans are food. the main characters are both attacked by monsters and their lives are drasticaly changed because of it. In attack on titan eren and the gang then dedicate their lives to fighting these monster while in Tokyo Goul the main character has to fight the monster within. both shows will have the familiar sounds of poeple screaming, people dieing, people throwing up, and people fighting for their lives. If you liked one you will like the other. These are two great shows and I cant wait to see more of them both.

Both of these animes feature a protagonist that slowly builds his power across the anime, learning to control his own abilities. He's a young man fighting for his friends to survive, no matter the cost.

Both animes also feature a great deal of blood, interesting fighting techniques, and a strong-willed female lead. Good luck surviving these animes!

They also have great action sequences and are generally a breath of fresh air for anime that dragged me back to it. Also I left because I thought all anime was like Naruto or One peice, I was wrong.

It's vaguely similar but very different at the same time as AoT tells about a nearly extinct  human race hunted by Titans while Tokyo Ghoul tells about... Well ghouls.

If You liked Attack on Titan, You might enjoy Tokyo Ghoul, because in some ways it's like "Attack on Titan flipped on it's head". They both center around the idea of humans being the prey of non-human beings. And they both feature a half-human protagonist forced into the struggle between the two sides. And they both explore "what is a monster?" and "what is human?" The big differences are that in this case, the "human-eaters" are the underdogs being hunted by a society of humans. While some are dangerous, others are just trying to survive in peace. And while Attack on Titan is post-apocalyptic, Tokyo Ghoul is set in realistic modern society and has a more clandestine/dystopian feel. Regardless of these differences, they are both mature, gorey and bleak series with good characters and if you liked AoT, you'll probably like this.

They are both really good, recommend em to everyone.

Both series are pretty similar. Conflicted guy struggles in the world he lives and eventually turns into the very thing they hate. Attack on titan does a better job at not only following the manga but also pleasing the viewers but Tokyo Ghoul does have its highlights.

Attack on Titan has an interesting world, the people live without hope and fight with Titans. Many deaths, too much pain and good characteres. Thats why I like it.

i was trying to watch Tokyo Ghoul and I almost finished but I couldnt stand the main character. Also the story was the same again and again and i was boring.

They both include a the main character gaining a special power that everyone else views as special like how Kaneki is a one eyed ghoul and Eren can transform into a titan, both things create conflict for the character and builds up drama that adds to what happens later in both animes. A portion of other characters view these things as a way to help the other portion view it as a threat and the character needs to die. As the animes move on these things start to get more fimiliar to the character and the character uses them for the benifit of others, but sometimes it can be seen as putting others in harms way. too. Both have a sinilar plot line by the main characters recieving the power and we then watch how that affects thier lives and others, too.

I can see why this is a recommendation. They both base of a conflict between human and some kind of species (ghoul or titan). The main characters have many similarities, one main one being the both have aspects of both sides (humans vs some kind of species). I totally recommend this. WATCH ITTTTT

Born as humans but eventually because different situations they are special, kaneki was about to die until the doctor safe his life and become half ghoul, and Eren was the son of a doctor who he somehow give him the key to create or become a titan.

 Both animes discuss interaction between humans and a human-eating race of beings, in a society focused on both fighting for the existence of humanity, and fighting against the existence of the other race. Both animes also have individuals that cross the boundaries between both races in the anime, either by taking a neutral stance, fighting for the opposite side than their born race, or literally being both human and part of the human-eating race. 

Both of these animes explore the complications of being part of a war you never asked to be part of, and being the main pawn/leader in a battle that you were definitely not qualified for.

There are many character deaths in both. They are gory, emotional, brutal, cynical, hopeful, and insightful parallels on how we treat controversial decisions and individuals in society.

They do have a lot in common. Tokyo Ghoul is about Ghouls who camouflage themselves with humans, living the same lives as them, except that they also eat them and they also have their own special powers that include additional body parts like tails/wings/random long bone things that stick out of their bodies to kill people with. Attack on Titan is about people who are confined in a walled-in space with titans that attack them every once in awhile Both main characters hadn't wished to become a titan/ghoul, but had to deal with it. Some people in the animes accept that they are different, but others don't. There are many characters that support both main characters despite their changes, but many others backlash them because they are monsters. Both characters became half-humans even tho they were originally both humans which shows how similar their situations are. So I highly recommend both ways because both animes are great pieces of work.

They are very good animes. Both of the main characters are attacked by the 'monsters' from their world and then turned into one themselves(Eren as titan shifter, Ken as half-ghoul.) Humans are targets of the ghouls and titans to eat so there are groups within the anime who train to defeat the monsters. In Tokyo ghoul some would like to coexist where in AOT the titans do not have any thoughts on anything.

In both anime there are monsters that are trying to destroy mankind and in both anime there is a group of "soldiers" who fight them.

Both shows also share a similar color palette and animation style.

If you liked Claymore you might like Attack on Titan.  Both anime are in fantasy settings featuring swords and monsters, both seem to highlight neigh impossible to win wars, with humans cowering in fear from some sort of monster which feeds on them, and include a focus of the story on characters who's job it is to battle those monsters to protect humanity.  There are other similarities but those would be spoilers.

There’s blood, there’s violence and there’s revenge, so if you’re a fan of one it wouldn’t hurt to check out the other one.

A sense of futility is conveyed in both, with revenge and violence being strong themes throughout. Strong female characters are also prominent in both series. Yes totally! Shingeko no Kyojin reminded me so much on Claymore! They both wear a similiar feeling, the main character is pushed over his limit to get stronger and is doubted by his comrads because of the resulting changes. He suffers defeat, even though his will is stronger than anything.

Both of them are dark fantasy with a decent story and intriguing characters.  Both of them take themselves rather seriously, so no over the top silliness that doesn't fit, and no senseless fan service (that I know of.)  The action is stellar, the music is good, and overall, these are very well put together animes.

Both of these series delve into many dark themes, which is not so much due to the 'showing' as the 'telling'. Both also take place in a medieval European setting with swordsmanship and similar weaponry and depict conflict for what it is - full of bloodand gore with little remorse for the fallen.

If you liked one, the other should be something to look into!

Both anime show a very similar theme of "humanity being plauged by physically stronger beings." Both anime show a like soldier-class person who can slay these monsters. Claymore may be older but it's a very good anime and has strong, intense emotion and battles, the same is to be said of Attack on Titan. Both are amazing and I would highly recommend either one.

If you enjoyed either Claymore or Attack on Titan, give the other one a look.  Both anime feature worlds where humanity is facing a much more powerful enemy that has the capacity to destroy the entire human race. Both anime are dark themed and serious, as well as brutal and violent. But the spark of hope of victory against tremendous odds is never quite extinguished.

Both shows highlight a solution that could compromise the integrity and even the very humanity of the fighters and heroes of mankind.

Both shows delve into the morality of killing, and ponder questions of right and wrong, the nature of good and evil. Just how far is one person allowed to go? How far is too far? How much is too much and what is the value of sacrifice?

Intriguing and thought-provoking, fans of either show would do well to check out the other. I'm sure the new show would also be as well appreciated!

Claymore has their Yomas, while Attack on Titan have their Titans.

Their are a specailized group of people who take down these human-eating monsters. 

Both main characters have had their families torn apart(literally) by these creatures

The female leads both swear to protect the male leads. 

I prefer Attack on Titan over Claymore, only because of the anime design, but thats just me. I deff recommend Claymore

Well, Attack on Titan is in the line of gore animes with brutal scenes. If you want a similar anime, I would prefer Claymore. Although Claymore is also sword fighting and such, it is not mythical like Attack on Titan having titans in their era. But if you're really in to gore animes, these animes are perfect to satisfy your crave for brutal and sadistic scenes. :> I hope you'll have fun watching and reading.

The thing that I enjoyed about both Attack on Titan and Claymore was the actual suspense that comes in each battle when anyone can die. No one is safe, therefore there is actual tension in fights.

if you like a dark, mature anime where people kill monsters with swords watch attack on titan. It is far more mature, fleshed out, and visually appealing than Claymore

Both anime have action, violence and revenge don't know if claymore can be categorised in military as well but its close enough. Attack on titan's animation can not be compared to claymore neither there are as many characters in claymore but the plot is similar as the main character loses someone who was precious to them to some creature so he/she seeking revenge gets stronger and is aided by companions to acheive their goal.

I watched Claymore first, and Attack on Titan later.  They both have the theme of humans are prey to the monster.  I feel AoT took it one or two steps in a more extreme direction, or rather made it more real.

Aside from this theme there wasn't much other overlap.  I would reccommend Claymore to anyone who wants to see a different take on that same idea.

Both are about battles with powerful, enigmatic monsters, with "our" side using simple weapons. There is a great sense of poignance in these stories. The warriors mostly assume they are going to die soon, but for a purpose that leaves no other option open to them. The artistic style is 100% serious, with none of the comedic bits that intrude on so much otherwise good anime.

Attack on Titan and Claymore have many simularities, but the main theme of Human vs Monsters is the clear winner to tie these togther. Both have elements of violence as our characters fight for their lives and they both battle monsters of unknown origin that we learn about throughout the story. While Claymore only have Female fighters Attack on Titan have both Men and Woman fighting alongside eachother. Both are great Anime with twist and turns in their adventure.

Both protagonists lost their most precious person to the monster. Bushi in Kabaneri equals Military in SNK. First episode, the wall falls in both of the series.

You have to watc both of them to see the exact similiarities, but they are similar in many ways. Both of plenty bloodthirsty.

However, SNK is set in European setting, with renaissance technology. Kabaneri is set in premodern Japan type of society with technologies varying from 19 to 21st century. Being bit by Kabane in Kabaneri signifies that you will become a Kabane too, like a zombie, but people are eaten like snacks by titans in SNK

In both we have a post-apocylaptic world where groups of people live inside a walled city to survive a threat to humanity. In the case of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, the people know of more than one city and the cities are connected by railways and armored trains shuttle supplies and people back and forth. Trains still have to pass through stations that have succomed to the disease, which is how the disease can spread.

Notably, Kabaneri has the same director and animation studio as Attack on Titan, but looks worlds nicer than AoT ever did. Hopefully it doesn't suffer from the same pacing issues.

First Episode Review: The first anime to catch my attention since Attack on Titan. Finally something that looks really good.

The story is promising. Demons rampaging and possible Demon Powers for our hero who is basically Eren Yeager from AoT except he's an inventor and it looks like he has a love interest.

The animation will please any old school anime fan. The art is a detailed traditional style of animation. AoT has great art but I think this anime has a little more love and attention in it. I've never been a fan of the more clean computer drawn feeling a lot of new anime have. Something goes missing in the art process when computers are used for the majority of the work.

The music fits well with the goings on and it would not be unpleasant to watch the opening and ending credits instead of skipping over them.

I don't mind that the main character is basically Eren-AoT but maybe the future episode will show us something to set him apart. It's to soon to make any calls on the supporting cast.

In conclusion I'm eagerly looking forward to the next episode.

As soon as episode one of Kabaneri began I thought "Attack on Titan!" with zombies instead of giants. Both anime have a lead male who is somehow more involved with the enemy (giants or zombies) than the average person and in a way is half human and half enemy. The setting is during a time when humans have built a city  within a wall and cut off from the rest of the world for the most part. The main character has a passion to protect the humans even though many of the humans fear him because he is part monster. It will be interesting to see where Kabaneri goes. It might just end up better than attack on titan. Either way, if you liked one, you will probably like the other.

This anime should in be at the very top of the list. Not only does this anime give off the same vibe of Attack On Titan, but it is also hosted by the exact same director! If you want to watch a show that is very, very similar to Attack On Titan, then please ignore everything and everyone else on the list of recommendations list for now, and go and watch this anime. It's a must and it will not disappoint i.e. it is so similar to AOT it might as well have been Season 2 of AOT (lol).

This anime is too similar to Attack On Titan, the art style, the graphics and animation, and even the concept. Simply put, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress is Attack On Titan, but with Zombies instead of Giants.Like the famous AOT series, the anime also comes with an OP character called Mumei, the only difference between her and Mikasa and Levi, is that the former characters are less annoying and much more intelligent. Either way, both the shows have a main protagonists who is unhappy with the way things are and wish to gain power. They both protagonists have a scary facial expressions at time, and recieve power-ups from the creatures they hate the most. In AOT's case, that would be Erens Titan transformation, whilst in kabaneri of the iron fortress, that would be Ikoma's abilities he recieved from getting bitten by the Zombie and surviving.Great animes, loaded with lots of action and cool fight scenes. Plenty of gore and sadness to go around. Not even children are spared from this anime's monster world. A must watch for all AOT fans :)

These anime have the same plot with different premises. While Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress is noticeably more steampunk than Shingeki no Kyojin, the differences just about end there. The threat of the Kabane is equal to the threat of the Titans, with a select few being more equipped to fight than others because they have their feet dipped in two different pools - that of the enemy and that of mankind. The main distinction between these two anime is the ending. About halfway through, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress takes a turn from being an anime about survival against a large and overwhelming force to one of personal revenge and the will to remain true to oneself. Overall, there are many parallels between these two anime as they even have many of the same staff including but not limited to the director, Tetsurou Araki, and Hiroyuki Sawano as musical composer therefore allowing Kabaneri to have a similar feel to Attack on Titan.

The feeling of the two are very similar. Both are very well made, like how the fighting scenes give you an exciting feeling and how the music enhances the feeling of the story etc. (Maybe it's because they were directed by the same director.)

Even if you love the way Attack on Titan looks, it doesn't take place in the kind of world you would ever want to live in, but Kabaneri succeeds more as spectacular escapism, especially if you're partial to steampunk. The show is always playful and generous with its use of color and light, even in its brownest and dirtiest places. There are bright blue skies, pastel pink kimonos, and even radiant purple zombie guts with fiery orange blood vessels pulsing through them. Long ago, humanity was brought to the brink of extinction by terrifying humanoid monsters that can only be killed if they are injured in a specific place. The remaining humans constructed massive walls to protect themselves, but one day, the walls were breached, and the monsters flooded in and wreaked havoc on the humans. The teenage protagonist loses a precious family member, and vows to take his revenge. However, he soon discovers he is not entirely human, and is in fact partially the monster he was trying to fight! He decides to learn to use his special powers to defeat the enemy.

There is plenty of action, gore, and exciting moments in both series.

These series have very similar art styles and atmosphere, and both their soundtracks are composed by Hiroyuki Sawano.

(However, one of these series is significantly better than the other, but I'll leave that up to you to figure out.)

There is something really simmilar and you will feeel that while watching, but the atmosphere of the animes is quite different. In my opinion "Attack on Titan" is much more tragic and moving. "Seraph of  the End" is definitely more positive. Also the characters are more likeable. Main heroes - Eren and Yuichiro are both young but tough guys who decided to avenge their families and friends in the battle.

The supressors are entirely different, and they actually have a running community in AoT. You get very attached to the characters very quickly and the good ones doesn't always survive. I have watched 12 episodes of Seraph of the end so i have finished Vampire Reign and now onto Battle in Nagoya.

These are pretty similar Seraph of the end has Vampire's where as Attack on titan it has Titan's Both are gory but AOT is really gory Vampires suck human blood as their livestock where as titans they go and destroy and eat people.

Because of the extreme conditions faced in their worlds, the characters push above and beyond to overcome their circumstances. If you love interesting, dynamic characters, unique plotlines, and sitting on the edge of your seat from the excitment then these are definitley the shows for you. Highly recommend.

This two anime, although they have different settings, they have so many simillarities: people behind walls not knowing what's out there, living in a isolated society, both are fantasy, horror, mystery genres.

Just the first episode is so much alike: people living their normal lives and in the ending of the episode that normal routine they have completely changes because of -----(and spoilers alert for the first episode of the two anime)------ a shocking life-changing revelation and death of a loved one.

Both series deal with three children trying to uncover the truths of their worlds and the dark unpredictabilities that come with that task. Each group must overcome the harsh and myserious natures of reality to achieve their dreams, and suffer the pain of losing loved ones in the process.

The world building, although done at a different pace, is similar. And the overarching themes (entrapment/freedom, the reason why humans are being caged like animals and what, exactly, it is that makes one human in the first place) overlap.

Emma and Eren also have similar qualities in that they want to save everyone, and are never willing to abandon their friends, no matter how dangerous the situation gets.

The main gist and commonality of the two animes are about people being confined into one place, with a wall to ensure they don't escape. The main characters try to find the truth of the outside world and learn the real reason why they are walled in. Both animes have living threats outside of the walls that can bring death to their population. The main three kids try to escape to the outside world, try to fight back the enemies alongside friends to protect the people who need to be saved. The Promised Neverland is a story where three kids that grew up in a place that's supposed to be an "orphanage" had found out what the "orphanage" is really not as happy and peaceful as it seems and made plans for all the kids to escape. While doing so, they overcome arguments, differences, and their own fear of what the future holds. Attack on Titan is about three childhood friends who one; aim to slaughter all titans in the world, two; be able to go outside, and three; protect the population. While doing so, they discover the secret of the titans and of themselves. In my opinion, I feel that Attack on Titan gives watchers more thrill, sophistication, and complexity, The Promised Neverland is more of a show for hopeful vibes and great determination than thrill or sophistication. Attack on Titan I feel is more for an older group of individuals versus The Promised Neverland that mainly aims for younger kids but some, like me, enjoy both. I do highly recommend for both sides as both animes are wonderful works of art and very well made pieces.

The plots in both of the animes are spectacular, Attack on titan hooks you in to the action that takes place and doesn't fail to fill in the information you may have missed with backstories and flashbacks. There is nothing more satifying that everything making sense. The promised neverland is filled with strange twists and plots but the story is very moving overall, the only thing i wish to conclude is the ending which is found out when you watch it.

Although you may get different vibes in the first season of the promised neverland it's mainly to build tension but on the other hand attack on titan kicks off in the first episode. Both series are rather dystopic, telling the tale of the remnants of humanity living in confined spaces, ever on the lookout for the non-human threat that reduced it to such a state.

And of course, the threat that has not been sighted for so long finally returns, at it is now to take up arms against it and defend the last outpost of the humans in a desperate struggle!

While Sidonia is a futuristic mecha show, and AoT takes place in some fantasy land with rather advanced contraptions, they both have a very similar feel to them due to the plot and focus on military characters. They are also rather gritty and full of action, so if you want something similar, do check the other one out.

Although so far I think that Sidonia is better and the Gauna are significantly creepier and more threatening. If you like one you'll probably like the other... unless you aren't into mechs.

They share the main protagonist being sort of an underdog, yet possesing some quality that brings him to fame. All in all, if you like one, you'll probably like the other.

It's crazy to me that more people haven't recommended this pair. Saying SNK and Titan are similar is the understatement of the year - a straggling subsection of humanity tries to defend itself against a giant, badass enemy that indiscriminately annihilates them, with plenty of horror, gore, and tense moments. The setting (fantasy vs futuristic) and animation (awesome vs kind of bad CG) are the only two things that set these apart. 

There is zero reason you wouldn't like one if you liked the other.

Humanity has been pushed to the brink of destruction by overwhelming forces they don't understand. Forced to retreat into tiny refuges with limited suppies humanity must struggle to survive their new situation. However, these refuges only provide temporary safety as it isn't long before the threats attack these last bastions of humanity. Will humanity be able to overcome these threats or are they doomed to a painful slow extinction? 

Sindonia no Kishi and Attack on Titan have almost the same plot outline. The difference comes in the setting with Attack on Titan taking a medieval setting with a touch of steampunk and Sidonia being a science fiction series. Each show has it's own set of technology with Sidonia including mechs and space combat. 

Attack on Titan is hands down the better of these two shows. It has better characters, better pacing and a more interesting story. Knights of Sidonia stumbles on just about all these fronts, but if you like stories that push the characters to the brink of despair then try either of these titles.

The plot in each is pretty much as close asd two shows can get, the only major difference being AoT's medieval setting when compared to Sidonia's sci-fi space setting. 

AoT is the better of the two shows by a long shot, but they are so similar that fans of one should definitely check the other out.

Attack on Titan, however, is a bit lighter in story and mood than Sidonia no Kishi which I find darker. So far I have to say I prefer the latter's story a bit more (maybe I'm more into mechas). However, being Sidonia no Kishi a CG anime, I have to say that it's not my favourite style. It's not bad...but it's not the same thing as hand drawn anime. Still, highly recommend both shows (and manga)!

Humanity is brought to the brink of extinction by another "creature" who has a specifc weak point. Humanity must come up with a creative way to defeat said creatures in order to survive. Pretty much the plot of AoT and KoS in a nutshell. The MC in both stories have something special about them that allows them to combat the threat. Comrades die, yet there is no time to Mourn and the fight must go on.

So where's the difference? Where AoT has Harpoon Jetpacks and Blades, KoS uses Mechs with Particle Beams and Spears. AoT takes place on Earth and is Primarily using technology from Middle Ages. KoS takes place in the far future aboard a Giant Generation Ship, Sidona. Titans use brute strength to kill. Gaunas (from KoS) have more "sophisticated" methods.

Overall, if you enjoyed the plot of AoT and the feel of the envrionment, KoS is a great subsitute.

Knights of Sidonia and Attack on Titan have a number of similarities. The main difference between the two is the setting. In both series, humanity has been pushed back by a mysterious, bloodthirsty race that sometimes take a humanoid form in shape, if not intelligence. In both Berserk and Shingeki no Kyojin, we have brutal fantasy worlds where humans are at the mercy of terrifying creatures. And the hero is a jaded kind of soul who has suffered a lot but possesses a grim determination. The thing about these shows is, while violent, their worlds are also stunningly developed. And the conflicts are just intense. Not to mention the characters are superlative, drawing you in with their personal struggles and and the nuances in their personalities. As a result, getting absorbed in their respective plots is an exhilerating experience. It is not possible to say which is a better series, just that if you love one, you will be an instant fan of the other.

With the major spotlight in combat, both shows deliver some amazing action scenes and both tend to be violent along the way. There’s also a very dark mood that complements both shows greatly, and because of that, I’d say that you probably won’t find anything that matches more like these two do.

 Both Anime tell a story of facing insurmountable odds, terrible loss (although in the early parts of Berserk are, the protagonists are generally victorious, and the tragedy doesn't happen until the very end). 

 Both Anime feature horrific, larger then life, evil monsters, all though again, they don't really feature prominently until the end of the anime in Berserk. 

 Both Anime feature a large build up to the ultimate betrayal.

The fact that in Black Bullet they are fighting these animals which is really similar to how people fight in Attack on Titan. Also in both cases humans rely on a certain group of humans to save them which results in many deaths etc.

If you liked the drama and action in Attack on Titan you should like Black Bullet and the other way around.

Both feature a protagonists who must make life-or-death choices, and both point out corruption and decadence of the ruling class. They both have a blood and gore factor that is unique unto itself. Attack on Titan and Deadman Wonderland have different settings and circumstances that bring plot points into place but both share traumatizing experiences for the main character that, once past those events, hardens and strengthens the protagonist.

the things that make both Attack on Titan and Deadman Wonderland awesome are:horrific truths,massive and deep plotlines,perfectly balanced between realistic and make believe, lovable chartacters, twisted and larger than life bad guys.there is so much to love in both of these animes

Both series have a similer feel (despirate and scary) where the main character has no choice where they are and must fight to stay alive. Both shows have their main character determined to get out and are supported by their allies, all trying to get out alive, weather it be Deadman Wonderland or the Walled Civilization.

The atmosphere of the two animes are rather similar and they both portray a rather cynical view on human nature. Both take place in a dystopian setting where the terror is real and the characters have to fight for their lives, fight for what they belive in. Both are heart-rendingly realistic and are truly awesome to watch.

These are both popular series with a dark tone, a troubled teenaged protagonist dealing with the loss of his mother, and monsters that consume humans but might be more complicated than it first seems. Lots of violence and elements of horror in both of these, but also tons of action. I think it's pretty likely there's already a lot of crossover between fans of both shows, so if you like one, you should definitely check out the other.

Very similar main characters regarding their development and backstory.  Both: lose mother to scary beings (aliens/titans), start out as weaklings but train to become stronger, become one of the enemy, want to kill them all to save the world/avenge mother's death.

Both are dark, full of action, great soundtracks, story and character development. Both MC's changes after the biggest enemy of humanity kills their relative. They get supernatural powers that helps them to get stronger and fight, yet sometimes they forget who they really are.

Both are extremely gritty adapatations of their separate manga and they both show the slow descent of humanity into madness as we toy with what really is "human". They both have extremely intense action scenes and they are both filled to the brim with gore. Perfect example of two anime showing the same themes, elements and most importantly, they both share that sense of curiosity that makes you want to delve deeper into their respective universes as well as continue watching.

Both have crazy villains and awesome main characters that grow and change as the series progresses.

Attack on Titan drew me in. It was seriously one of the best animes I've ever watched. The flow drags you in, and the characters are extremely relatable. I totally consider this as one of my favorite animes, and I recommend it completely.

AOT and parasyte both get at that apocalyptic feeling where the human race has little chance of making it. But the other aspect of them that I see a lot of overlap in is the way the protagonist has to navigate the world, realizing that things and people aren't what they seem. AOT is stronger story wise not my opinion, but parasyte definitely threw me for some unexpected loops. Both question what humanity even is. And despite having similar themes that are both distinctly different from one another, parasyte doesn't feel like a ripoff or anything like that.
