Both have similar stories beginning when an alien girl suddenly drops in on a normal High School boy. In To Love-Ru it was the alien princess Lala and in Asobi ni Iku yo! it ended up being the cat girl Elis. Both shows feature an eclectic cast of females all trying to make the lovable loser their own. Same ecchi comedy and both are easy watches since neither of them build up a complex plot of any kind.

Shiraiyuki Shiraiyuki says...

Both of these anime are very similar, in the plot: a normal boy living his normal life until he finds a busty alien girl that is in love with him.

For short - If you like/liked on you'll definetely like the other.

KingArthur13th KingArthur13th says...

The main characters of both series are bombarded by busty alien girls who seek to mate and marry the male lead. Asobi is a little more ecchi while To Love-Ru is a little more funny. These two are a lot alike and if you've enjoyed one, you're going to enjoy the other.

These two anime are very similar. Both have a female character some to earth from another planet and live in a boy's home. Both try not to really focus on too much plot and try to have a good time. While plot does exist, a lot of it is just silliness and fun.If you liked one, you should like the other.

Both Girls Bravo and Cat Planet Cuties share a lot of similarities. Both main male characters come into contact with sexy extraterrestrials and have a spectacular suggestive time. Also the Earth newcomers are very innocent and don't know a thing about our world of course, so the fun begins. CPC has more of a plot to it but they both have a decent enough story to keep you entertained. If you liked one I'm sure you'll the other.

Motto To Love Ru

Motto To Love Ru

One should always understand other people’s customs before making commitments. Unfortunately, Rito had no idea the planet Develuke even existed when their Princess Lala teleported naked into his bathtub, let alone that touching a girl’s breasts is how they propose marriage! Given that he was in the tub when she appeared, Rito’s now engaged to a beautiful girl with a pointed tail. What's worse: the girl that Rito really loves is still completely unaware of his feelings.

Asobi ni Iku Yo! and Fight Ippatsu! Juuden-chan!! are two very fanservice-y series that involve extra terrestrial beings. Or at least life forms that do not originate from Earth. I do think you'll like one anime if you enjoyed the other because there are some similar issues that arise in both anime. Both series touch upon science fiction elements whereas Asobi ni Iku Yo! features some cool gun-action and Juuden-chan is a lot more silly. You also have these girls in skin-tight "space" suits while at work. The main guy somehow gets involved in outer-Earth missions and that's when more powerful forces take interest in him. I think Juuden-chan takes a more "ecchi" role with its urophilia while Asobi ni Iku Yo! takes almost every opportunity for nude shots. Take your pick.

Action, ecchi and the harem elements are similar. Despite the difference in the base genre(scifi vs horror), the plot and characters have more in common than the typicall highschool ecchi show in that school life actually plays a minimal role.

Overally HSOTD is better, mainly because the cookie cutter love polygon plot is in the background wehreas it takes center stage in Asobi ni Iku yo just as it does in most ecchi shows.

Both series have an alien that came to Earth from another planet. They both fall in love with the main character, and both have difficulties along the way. Both these series have love, drama, and a series of problems the characters must overcome, and both are very enjoyable to watch. Ano Natsu de Matteru has more of a romantic feel to it, while Asobini Iku yo! has more of an ecchi feel to it. Both however have a similar feel and if you liked one, you would most likely like the other.
