Cheerful, optimistic Nadja is one of many English orphans living in the quaint Applefield Orphanage. Yet one fateful day, when the orphange is attacked by men looking for her mother's brooch, Nadja learns that her mother may still be alive after all. This anime is awesome. It has a mix of romance, mystery,tragic,and adventure. The story takes place in Europe and starts of with a orphan named Nadja. She lives in an orphanage peacefully until some robbers come by and starts a fire. Nadja tries to run away, and ends up with the Dandilion Travel Performers. So cheesy and dramatic yet I couldn't stop watching it. The animation is often very cheap, there are many scenes where the characters are missing faces when it's side profiles. The dancing scenes of Nadja are also repeated often. But other times the animation is nice, classic early 2000s anime look.
