What happened in this ova was bound to happen anyway after the way the original series ended, it is the natural progression of the story and, in my opinion, it was done in a satisfactory fashion. The animation is very good, top sunrise animation, the sound is better than the original series, and the story is straigh to the point. Also the fact the 3 stooges never show up is already enough to make it very good. I would definately recommend this ova to the fans of the original series that want more of it.

After watching it i feel... Regret? Why was it made? Original series had a perfect ending.

It leaves same bad taste as dragon ball gt did (though i personally enjoyed it). But while gt was attempt at returning to series roots, here it is milking series for whatever it was worth in new "better" 90's style.

So we have church, overly excited comical relieve with huge mustache, greasy old men, fear of nudity, reusing nudity from original series (yes, I made no mistake here. I point it out not cause I'm big ecchi fan, It just is painfull to witness) and that nasty opener that is so 90's that it feels like tv soap opera.

Overall, if you liked series so much that you made it this far, you'll watch it anyways no matter what I say, so just keep in mind that franchise was discontinued for 13 years after it.
