Battle angel alita really reminds me off Polymatrix. It's also about earth being colonized by robots. And a girl that works as a police and tries to hold of the robots. And there is action and love exatcly as it is in battle angel. I myself dind't really like this movie. I guess you should watch the series before you watch this. Though it's alot like Battle angel alita
For fans of Armitage, Battle Angel Alita is a fairly obvious choice. Both main characters are robots fighting to stay alive and find their place in human society. These are both decent action anime.
Both young beauties, both cyborgs/androids, and both kick ass.
Both series are cyborg series in a dark future with alot of insanity and injustice. Both worth watching.
Both Battle Angel and Armitage III concern a cyborg who protect society from other (cyborg)criminals. Since both are short there's isnt much more to add. If you like one you'll definitely like the other
Battle Angel's main char is similar to Armitage in that they are both deadly robots that are trying to find their place in a world of humans.
Battle Angel Alita, like Armitage, is a cyberpunk romp through the lives of the humanity-challenged and what they must do to discover themselves and survive. Though Armitage is clearly the superior of the two, you'd most certainly appreciate BAA if you liked Armitage.
Both anime are set in a futuristic society where androids are commonplace. With the titular characters being an android, both anime explore their emotions and what it means to be human rather than artificial. The feel and themes of both anime are very similar so I'm sure that if you liked one then you'll like the other.
A mysterious new hacker known only as the Puppet Master threatens to create chaos, erasing and rewriting the memories of his victims: humans who have cast away their physical body to become cyborgs. Ghost in the Shell is a 'cult' anime classic now. The cybernetics/robotics are very present in both these movies as well as the fact that the main character in both is a strong female presence. There is lots of great action in both Ghost in the Shell and Armitage 111 Poly-Matrix.
Both series have a kick ass robot chick. I think that alone is reason enough to check out both series. There are also other similar fetaures with these series.
Two fantastic futuristic movies. And the lead characters are female. -_^ Chicks, guns, computers, gunfights, how can you go wrong? I think you would love both of these movies.
Both shows lay heavy focus on the question what the human soul or mind is. They both contain questions about the ethics of artificial lifeforms and contain plenty of action.
If you like sci-fi with cyberpunk elements. Both also feature strong female central roles that happen to be robots. Also they both are on the police force.
Metropolis is a grand high-tech city-state populated by humans and robots alike. It is in these streets that Detective Shunsaku Ban and his sidekick Kenichi search for the rebel scientist Dr. Laughton who unbeknownst to them, is developing a super android named Tima as a tool for the Duke of Metropolis. Armitage - Polymatrix is another story of human looking robots. I like Armitage way better than Metropolis since it got more story. I'm sure you will like it alot too.
Both Armitage and Metropolis have female humanoid robots as the main characters in a future not so far from our own, but there the similarities end. Armitage is a willful, rough and tough warrior, while Tima is timid and helpless for most of the movie.
Hazama is a private detective, who becomes fatally wounded in a run-of-the-mill case. In order to survive, Hazama is tranformed into the legendary cyborg 8Man -- to put an end to the cybernetically-enhanced criminals' wave of crime. But as the death count increases, Hazama soon begins to question how much of his real self is left, and if the emotionless 8Man he becomes is really in control...

Well... 8man is about killing crazed drugged up cyborgs, and Armitage is about saving cyborgs... They have a similar feel, and what would be concider complex lead characters. Both are short and packed with constant action.
What are the differences between man and machine? What defines a soul? Both 8 Man After and Armitage focus on finding the answers to these questions for themselves while blowing things up of course. If you liked one you'll like the other.
Surrounded by water and a world of pollution, oppression, and never-ending rain, the city of ECOBAN feeds off of the surrounding pollutants to sustain life on this seemingly last continent on earth. If you liked Armitage III: Polymatrix you may like Wonderful days. they both got this robot period. the cars, bikes, guns and stuff.
Both of these anime have a theme about claiming certain rights for a group in society. In Armitage, we have the thirds, and in Wonderful Days we have a whole class of outcasts and underclass citizens, so either way, there is a fight for freedom, and great visuals. Wonderful Days is quite a bit more impressive visually than Armitage, but Armitage has a more compelling story.
A devastating earthquake strikes Tokyo, leaving the city in ruins. Man's only hope is to use boomers, an artificial humanoid form. Everything seems perfect until some of the boomers go crazy and start killing people. The only hope of stopping them is the Knight Sabers, a group of 4 female heroes in form-fitting power suits, with which they can perform amazing feats of strength and agility.

Both series present a similar visual approach to the combat. They also have strong lead female characters that go up against the powerfull government/corporations to survive.
This collection is comprised of 7 very different and unique stories. This OVA series preaches of intriquing storylines and fantastic artwork, each from a different artist. Each story has a different interpretation or concept about the one theme upon which this collection revolves: Robots. This interesting anime classic has least one story for everyone.

A great robot anime movie, that is very high action and not very similar to Armitage, but Robot Carnival is a MUST if you must have robots, this is a great step.

Both are action-oriented series featuring strong female heroes. And violence -- lots of it. Armitage is a sci-fi movie, and Blood is set in mid 20th century Japan, but anime action movies fans should enjoy both.

Great movies that involve a lot of tech/mech and loads of action. Also if you love animes with a heavy political theme, then check these two shows out!
