If you're looking for anime similar to Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest, you might like these titles.
Naofumi Iwatani, an uncharismatic Otaku who spends his days on games and manga, suddenly finds himself summoned to a parallel universe! He discovers he is one of four heroes equipped with legendary weapons and tasked with saving the world from its prophesied destruction. As the Shield Hero, the weakest of the heroes, all is not as it seems. Naofumi is soon alone, penniless, and betrayed. With no one to turn to, and nowhere to run, he is left with only his shield. Now, Naofumi must rise to become the legendary Shield Hero and save the world!
Some comparisons that can be made between these two would be the evolution of the protagonists from weak to strong. In shield hero this takes longer but none the less, in both instances we see a clear power development. Another simmilarity would be the harem of girls that they collect along the journey. Characters wise they exihbit the same lack of care initially for anything as well as their deep thirst for revenge. This soon changes with the introduction of new teammates that show them that all is not evil.
MC lives in a simple modern world and then gets called into the fantasy world to be a hero and save the day. He gets F***ed over, goes into rage, gets stronger and tries to get revenge. Both MC have their own harem.
Both approach the isekai genre in a unique way by immediately having the main character betrayed and forced to survive on their own. Both main male leads have similar personalities and approaches to their problems. Both also involve a pseudo-harem as the main male lead seems to only attract outcasted females into their parties.
Have you seen one of this, you must see the other two. two of the best anime made in 2019. i want a second season of both, if not will it be hell to pay hihi. LOVE them both.
Both Storys have a messed up beginning for the heroes. I was so pissed off when I got to the end of Rising of the Shield Hero, not because it sucked or had a crappy ending. It was just that good i left me needing more. Arifureta greats a similar feeling. Both are great shows and when my kids are old enough I would enjoy watching it with them.
both are about a MC loser getting summoned to a fantasy world to become a hero but end up being granted a seemingly weak primary power. To add to the humiliation of getting the "weak" power, the MC gets betrayed by someone in his close entourage. Now that the MC has reach the rock bottom and has changed his personality from an otaku to a revenge driven distrusting misantrop, the MC starts a grind journey to become OP. Then, MC frees a caged-up loli who brings back slowly his good nurtured personality.
They are both similar, both get betrayed and becomes stronger becouse of that, they also meet new allies which help them during their journey
These two anime are alot alike, from the hero's summoned from another world to how betrayal plays a big part in both the anime itself and in how the characters develop. Both of them are worth the watch.
I totally agree with this recommendation. If you're looking for a darker / more adult orientend Isekai than the usuals, this is a good one.
It's the same concept of the MC climbing from almost nothing to great power, althoughialthough this one the power rise is exponentially high.
They both have op characters and they are badass. Both the main characters get bullied at the beginning but that changes eventually.
really good anime, i enjoy wathching this anime, it has everything that i was trying to find in anime
In both animes the main hero is weak at the beginning, but struggles to get most powerful. In both anime main hero disdains majority of people due to initial conflict but is able to grow loyal harem which is there not only for show, but have power of their own.
They are almost the same they both got summoned into another world as a hero and got treated like trash and they both got betrayed and they became op after that almost the same
-both have op mc's
-both are isakei
-both have good story
the cgi on arifrueta is pretty bad but id you cam get past that its a great show. the only other thing i dont like about it is that some of the members of the harem are annoying.
Both are isekai animes where the protagonist starts off weak but becomes stronger through hard work and makes a significant impact on the storyline.
In both anime MCs are weak and are ridiculed by almost everyone around them. But after they go through some hardships they become super OP.
Both story protagonists have a twisted outside personality but kind heart. Both stories also take place in a twisted interpretation of a generic isekai world. The protagonists also get all the hoes.
they are similar yet difirent commonplace is about a guy who changed because of the need to survive and is more character driving and shield is more about trying to survive in a world that chewed him and spat him out. both anime protag have similar view on life but they are in difirent situations
Both animes' protagonists have one common objective, and that is revenge. As such neglected classes, they go to find party members to fight against their hatred people who looked down on them in the past. It's unknown why, but they both seem to have only women in the parties. Weird.
They're both about characters rising up to be the strongest, although Arifureta is more harem-heavy.
-becoming stronger by main character
-sweet love of main characters
These 2 anime have alot in Common. 1 Both betrayed. 2 start out weak come back strong. 3 Both are isekai'd. 4 Both are summoned Heroes. These 2 anime are alot alike im sure if you liked Arifureta you will like The Rising Of the Shield Hero.
they both are outcastes from their normal group and picked girls around in the season, with a kid close as it could be to being parents'
They both portray a classic weak to strong and ending up showing their former 'comrades' that they are strongerI enjoyed both
Both MCs are betrayed and become really powerful and cold. They are both great, give the same vibes and honestly thaey are really similar in many ways but idk how to describe it so ╰(*°▽°*)╯
man do i even need to explain?htgyjuyyjhjtnyrucdihrytgfytfybtybrvtyufgyutgrfygyugbfyb8758jugiujhmvbkn mg nfr dnm./
both are isekai with MC who are betrayed and became OP.
and this is for the 100 characters
Both main characters are hardened by the world around them, and both still save a world that does not treat them fairly.
Lonely thirty-seven-year-old Satoru Mikami is stuck in a dead-end job, unhappy with his mundane life, but after dying at the hands of a robber, he awakens to a fresh start in a fantasy realm...as a slime monster! As he acclimates to his goopy new existence, his exploits with the other monsters set off a chain of events that will change his new world forever!
MC has somewhat the same abilities in both animes. The start of both shows both have the same feel too. The MC is transported from their world to another(Even though in this anime he isn't reincarnated)
Both are very simialar. Both MC are stupidly overpowered. In both the female charcathers fall for the MC and for good reason.
Slime is better in every way but Arifureta is still an ok show. They start in a very similar situation and both MC's are OP.
They both pretty much start the same but two great shows if you like one I suspect you could like the other as well.
Both have overly powerful main characters. They both have tons of action. The story line is full of drama. Arifureta has more ecchi.
They both have op main characters and rise up from nothing to being the world's strongest.
the are both diffrent world animes and they have really op mc that obtain there strenght by doing something thats diffrent from just training or getting it from the start
I enjoyed both animes as much, far from being a boring SAO fork / remake, I feel like it's clearly a darker / more serious universe than usual.
Intelligent main characters, summoned from another world, who prove themselves capable and strong willed. Some overlap in ability types. There are, however, different tones between the two, with Arifureta being a darker style of story telling.
Both main characters are rediculously overpowerd, which adds to the comedy. They are otherwise quite diffirent, however if you like one, you will certainly like the other.
I, the protagonist, was just an ordinary high school girl, but suddenly I was reincarnated as a spider monster in a fantasy world. Not only that, but I awakened in a dungeon filled with vicious monsters. Armed with only my human knowledge and my overwhelming positivity, I'm forced to use spiderwebs and traps to defeat far stronger monsters just to stay alive... So begins the labyrinth survival story of a girl with incredible mental strength living as one of the lowest-ranked beasts!
Isekai where main character gets from weak to strong because of some event, whole classroom gets isekaid
Starts off the same with the "dungeon until OP", but MC is not as lonely and it quickly turns into a harem
Do yourself a favor and try as best as you can to ignore the bunny girl and don't worry too much about the CGI, apart from those it's great really.
Also note that the story is nothing close to as deep as the spider isekai.
The animaton style is good, both are cliché but not and they are so similar in how they level up.
Both are fun in their own way.
Both are Isekais where the entire class got transported to another world. In both the protagonist starts at the bottom of the food chain in a dungeon filled with vicious monster and has to fight for survival, levelling up by eating the vanquished monsters. Both characters get quite powerful that way.
They contain similar concepts of struggling to survive and making the most out of the situation you're in. 'Arifrueta' is a little more dark compared to the wholesomeness of 'So I'm a Spider'
Both is an anime about a class who is transfered to another world. One gets separated in a dungeon of sorts and are trying to escape the dungeon by eating and powering up.
So far that I have seen it feels like they are having two stories in one anime, but at least Arifureta does that a bit better.
All in all it is basically the same anime plot but with different character and story, so if you liked on of these try the other one for some reason.
Set in the world of Orario, where adventurers band together and look for treasures in an underground labyrinth known as Dungeon. However, for Bell Cranel, fame and riches are secondary to what he wants to find the most: girls. He soon finds out though, that anything can happen in Dungeon, and winds up being the damsel in distress instead!
Both are a dungeon crawler. Both animes are about some low skilled person going into dungeon and getting strong. Both even have the main person fall a few layers into the dungeon
Both MC have white hair, they get stronger and have their own harem. Casual Isekai, dungeons, fighting monsters and getting stronger.
I actually watched these shows back to back. Both main characters seek to get stronger. Otherwise difficult to explain how they relate but they do.
i like the story and the charecters all around good anime would recomend to people who like action and adventure.
Anos Voldigord was a tyrannical Demon King that eradicated humans, spirits, and even the gods, but became bored of eternal warfare and reincarnated with dreams of a peaceful world. However, what awaited him in reincarnation after 2000 years were descendants who became too weak after being accustomed to peace, and all sorts of magic that deteriorated to the extreme. Anos enters Demon King Academy that gathers and educates those who are viewed as the reincarnation of the Demon King, but the academy could not see through his true powers and ends up branding him as a misfit!
Both main characters have an absord amount of power, which helps them to defet everyone. Despite having difrent plot both are revolving around the over powered main characters. I enjoy see other characters reaction to the power the main characters demnstrat when saving bateling someone. Lastly, both main characters seen to acquire harem-like team with enough fan service to let any man have a good time.
Its somewhat bold in expression of the prowess..
Very straight forward to happiness of fans.
Both are Power fantasies, Though misfits is in all ways superior, in the way that it takes itself so serious and goes to th absolute extremes of the tropes usually displayed in power trips, to the point that its almost a parody of powertrips.
The two shows have the same feel to them. Both main characters also are misunderstood as well as questioned about their identity
After dying as a result of God's mistake, the main character finds himself in a parallel world, where he begins his second life. His only possessions are the body that God gave back to him and a smartphone that works even in this new world. As he meets all kinds of new people and forges new friendships, he ends up learning the secret to this world. He inherits the legacy of an ancient civilization and works together with the kings of some very laid-back countries on his carefree travels through this new world.
This anime is very good and similar in the ways of the main charachter being over powered and in the harem and magic side as well.
They both involve the main character going to a fantasy style world and getting some insane powers. This leads them to slowly building up a group of girls who follow them every where
While both take different takes on the Isekai genre. Both capture emotion with the viewer. Both create empathy and connections with not just the main character but also the people that surround them
In a dark world of monsters, adventurers and mages, some of the most gifted healers are subjugated to brute force even by the hands of their compatriots. But one mage, Kayal, gains the ability to rewind time, turn the tables and right all wrongs.
Almost similar concept.
Betrayal of colleagues, and wishes of getting strong after going insane.
Both goes mental and has one very clear objective which they couldn't do until they encountered something special. Philosopher's stone or Holy Water, either way they encountered something rare opening a chance to become strong.
Low life character is betrayed by his comrades, becomes OP, and turns on his former teammates. Arifureta puts the focus on adventuring and building a harem. Redo of Healer is much, much darker and keeps the focus on the revenge plot.
Harem, bitter and angsty MC, something revenge, something politic in a fantasy world. The difference is that one you watch on Hentai site and the other on Funimation.
Rumor has it that, in a certain guild in the middle of nowhere, there is an extraordinary man who has climbed all the way to the Silver rank just by killing goblins. At the same guild, a priestess who's just become a new adventurer has formed her first party... and the man who ends up rescuing that party when they get into trouble is none other than the Goblin Slayer.
Both are dark fantasies but where we see the evolution of their relationship as the story progresses. Arifureta is an isekai but it feels very similar to the adventuring style of Goblin Slayer. Both also have incredible fight scenes and very likable protaganists with deep seated anger but also a longing to protect those closest to them.
I love both of this anime. have you seen one you must see both and if you havent seen anyone I say you must see both. I think goblin slayer is best in english dub and Arifureta is best japanese sub but thats me. Love and fun.
"Satou," aka Ichiro Suzuki is a programmer in the middle of a death march. He was supposed to be taking a nap but somehow wakes up in another world... What lies before him is what looks like the menu screen of the game he was working before his nap. He’s at a complete beginner stage at level 1. However, he had three “Meteor Showers” which could level a whole map. Suddenly, a whole group of lizardmen appears in front of him. In order to survive, Satou uses Meteor Shower, his level jumped to 310 and he became extremely wealthy. Whether it be dream or reality, Satou’s journey was now beginning.
Weak and naive guy gets in the new fantasy RPG like world, gets to fight monsters, level up and get stronger. In first episode MC goes from little weakling to super strong. Both has harem, op MC and isekai casual stuff.
These shows are very simillar, despite the main character's personalities being so diffirent. Both are amazing animes that evenly spread out the romance as to not make it feel like it is shoved down your throat.
The year is 2095. Magic has been tamed as another form of technology, and the practice of magic is now a rigorous discipline. Brother and sister Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba are just about to start their first year at the renowned First Magic High School of Japan. But the school's ironclad rules mean that the brilliant Miyuki enters the prestigious Course 1, while her older brother, Tatsuya, is relegated to Course 2--and that's just the beginning of their troubles!
They seem similiar where both use technology and magic while one is in an alternate version of our worlds future and the other is just in another world.
Both have a super overpowered main male protaginist not to mention both have crazy magic and many different supporting characters/companions
